The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Presumably? So you are guessing? They didn’t transition from “accompanied minor” to “unaccompanied minor” on the plane, nor while exiting the plane, nor anytime during the flight. The airline would not even know about it, since it didn’t happen until they were at CBP.

Perhaps you can explain who would handle the issue at a land-border crossing? I’m guessing not a lot of airline personnel around there either.

Wow! That is really pathetic. But typical…

Remember a week or so ago, when Mike Pence was going to go to New Hampshire and the flight was canceled at the last second, with no explanation? It may have had something to do with a potential meeting with a guy who had been charged with drug offenses.

So you think that children who only have a parent shouldn’t be able to travel except with the parent?

No, I think that children who are US Citizens who are traveling with a guardian should not be released on their own recognizance at 3:00 AM when that guardian is not able to enter the United States. Similar to any other time when LE personnel arrest a parent or guardian of children. They, you know, take the children with them until another family member can be found to get them.

I’m pretty sure I made my point clear earlier. US citizen children are travelling back to the States with their Aunt. When they get to CBP, the aunt is denied entry. At this point, what is CBP supposed to do? There are no airline people around. Why would the airline even know about it? As far as the airline is concerned the children were travelling with an adult. At this point, CBP tries to call another family member, the kids’ mother. She doesn’t want to come because she is afraid because she is undocumented.

Again, at this point what do you want CBP to do? Just send the kids on their way at 3:00 AM with no parent or guardian with them?

I honestly don’t understand what some of you are thinking.

“We did a fantastic job in Puerto Rico” is back in the news.

The person they were traveling with was not a guardian. Responsible adult, yes. Guardian, no.

Not many people know that Puerto Rico is an island. Also, the golf courses there are shit, so who really cares anyway?

He’s become more incoherent and bizarre in the year since he made the comments in that article:

It’s 25th-Amendment stuff.

Ok. I’m not sure how that changes anything in the analysis of the story.

Geez, why not give it a rest? Is some magic “fact” from someone here going to convince you? I doubt it, so you’ll either continue worrying this point to death or learn to let go, relax, and move on to another topic… or web site.

Because I don’t have anything better to do. Also, why don’t you tell **Nava **to give it a rest?

Because Nava isn’t the one behaving like an asshole, is my guess.

Sure, if “disagreeing with me” is your definition of “behaving like an asshole”

Well, you ARE an asshole, so…

The guy in question:

I wondered why the guy’s name was familiar. It turns out he played high school football in my hometown about ten years after I did and made it to the NFL, not a very common occurrence. The story says Hatch started taking opioids for a football injury and became addicted. But he was now dealing, which is what the sentence is about.

Good point, but it’s not topic specific

Individual 1 claims that the Prime Minister of India asked him to mediate the dispute between India and Pakistan over Kashmirr.
The Indian government official spokesman said, “No such request has been made by Prime Minister to the US President.”

Of course, Chump’s base will know you can’t trust anything those lying Indians say.

I’ve never flown internationally before so I don’t know. Do passengers hit customs before or after baggage claim?

Also, of COURSE I’m guessing. I’ve never worked for an airline.
