I’m surprised that according to the Wikipedia page they got fairly decent results in blind taste tests, I guess they were so overpriced that people feel the same way that they do about Orange-branded properties: not the worst ever but decidedly not worth the price.

Apart from the racist undertones, there’s something I thought was interesting about Trump’s attack on Cummings. Trump said Cummings should spend more time addressing the problems of people in his district. As the President, does Trump not realize that Baltimore is also part of his district?
I think it’s significant that the President could wash his hands of an entire American city, say that the problems of hundreds of thousands of Americans are no concern of his, an no one bats an eye.
And apparently thinks that members of Congress have control over what happens in their districts.

BEIJING (Reuters) - China has approved wheat imports from the Russian region of Kurgan, the Chinese customs office said on Friday, bringing Russia a step closer to its goal of dramatically increasing grain exports.

Gee, what a coincidence that a trade war would benefit Trump’s “good” buddies in Russia, China and Latin America, I can see that even if tariffs are removed, the damage to the farmers in the US will continue.

Yes by highlighting the plight of downtrodden neighborhoods, Trump showed that the problems were “no concern of his”.
Perhaps he should have taken the Obama route and told the urban youth to “pull their pants up”. Is that a better way to show concern?
