And, ya know, if Former President Trump* was really serious about this wall thing, he should have directed that the Mexico wall be built using the Berlin Wall as a model. Now THAT would have stopped immigration. Concrete, barbed wire (or bob wahr as we say in Texas), a no man’s land on either side, and most importantly, armed guards stationed every hundred feet or so with instructions to shoot to kill on sight.
His pathetic fence might as well be the fence around a kindergarten playground–which people are proving by making sport with it. LOSER WALL!! Donnie’s wall is a LOSER WALL!!
As for the cost, well, yeah, it will be expensive, considering the Berlin Wall was 87 miles long and the USA/Mexico border is over 20 times longer at 1,954. But priorities are priorities and campaign promises must be honored. Let’s just empty out the US Treasury and build that fucker like we mean it!
But, for the MAGA hat wearers, he doesn’t need to be able to say “TOTAL EXONERATION”. They are on his side already and cannot be swayed. For voters who are still on the fence, and I’m referring to those who would follow an impeachment hearing and subsequent trial carefully, I believe some of them will look at the evidence presented, see it as damning but recognize the politics involved, and thus see that Trump was not exonerated, but rather that there was no way in hell enough Republican senators would have ever voted him guilty. Essentially, I reject the idea that an impeachment process against Trump is pretty much guaranteed to help him more than harm him in the next election.

In the interest of fighting (my own) ignorance, at least one media outlet is claiming that the video and photos of men climbing the wall are from 2016, before they perfected unclimbable wall technology.

You laugh, but this is exactly what the deplorable crowd wants. On some FB vids of people climbing the walls they were commenting how they should be shot off with .50 caliber or that there should be barbed wire on top of the wall.
Mind you, these could have just been Russian trolls but I don’t doubt some sentiment like that is around.
Well this whole Ukraine thing will probably come to nothing since the Chosen One always cries and gets his way. But I recall people saying that if his campaign did accept help from Russia in 2016 it was probably because he and his family and campaign are all just political newbs who didn’t know it was wrong and against the law.
