- Realize that you get to tax people in New Mexico.

As in many scandals, the bigger issue is the cover-up. Congress, at the urging of the right-wing media fever swamp, subpoenaed the Obama administration for records related to FnF, and the administration said “no,” claiming executive privilege. It took years for that to get through the courts, and IIRC it was in Congress’s favor, but it was after Obama was out of office.
It was in my opinion an ill-advised program, made slightly scandalous by the refusal to cooperate with Congress. And yes, it seems quaint nowadays.
Nah, haven’t you guys studied any military history at all ? You build the first wall, then when the Migrant Invasion™ manages to breach it you retreat to the next wall and so on. The last wall is around Trump tower. Ukraine pays for that one.
