The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

How about …never??

They are driven by spite, bigotry and hate. As long as he fucks the same people they always wanted to fuck, as long as he is stickin’ it to the people they wanted to stick it to, as long as he panders to their supremacist and dominionist fantasies, they will love him… even as he fucks them TOO.

And yet, Barr is just as crooked, just as treasonous, just as dirty as ALL the rest of them.

He’s not joking. It’s a “trial balloon”. And it plays well with his anti_American traitor Base.

Worse, in my view. He knows better. He uses the levers of power solely to advance his own fucked-up agenda – which I regard as fundamentalist Catholic.

He saw a massive opportunity with Trump, who is everyone’s useful idiot, and took full advantage. He’s been on the case for decades. He’s a much more serious threat to our institutions and democratic republic than even Trump.

Which is the exact case I’ve been making against Pence and any number of infinitely more competent and covertly evil opportunists using Trump in a way that furthers their ugly agendas.

The version everybody else got wasn’t written on a Big Mac wrapper with a Sharpie, so yes.

[QUOTE=the Clusterfucker himself]
People are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once. They end up using more water. So EPA is looking at that very strongly, at my suggestion.

I can just imagine the conversation

Andrew Wheeler: So now that climate change has been debunked as a Chinese hoax, we know you guys have a lot of time on your hands, so we’ve decided that your new job is to figure out why the POTUS toilet isn’t working.

EPA scientist: But I’ve got a doctorate in climate science, I don’t know the first thing about toilets, shouldn’t you ask a plumber.

Andrew Wheeler: Sorry but the POTUS has assigned all the wihite house plumbers to be in charge of our South East Asian foreign policy. He wants you to make this your top priority. Here’s the owners manual for the Duravit 212501TP now get cracking.

Stealing.

Be sure to properly credit the last quote- that’s capital O, capital S.

Who knew a piece of shit could make so much shit?

My take:
EPA scientist: Mr. President, it’s not the toilet, it’s your diet of Quarter Pounders.

I wonder who is the groom of the stool?

Jared Kushner, of course.

Can you explain what you mean by this? It sounds a little like the “One World Government Under the Pope” conspiracy theory from a couple decades ago.

I attributed it to The Stable Genius.

There was a whole lot of cognitive dissonance going on in the White House yesterday – or in other words, just another Monday.

On the one hand, Trump was saying the Horowitz report showed horrible, awful, terrible things that no president (especially himself) should ever have to endure. On the other, Barr & Durham were trashing it. Hard to reconcile the 2 views.

Sure.

For a start, he is a member of Opus Dei. (NPR) You’ll note if you listen to his speeches that he frequently invokes his faith and the rightness of his point of view based on his Catholic teachings.

Much of the language he uses when testifying, e.g., is veiled in multiple meanings. I recall his confirmation hearing when he said he would not be constrained by political reputation or other considerations in his judgments/choices as AG because he was retired and “we all die sometime.” One could read that comment to mean that he would be incorruptible – which is how he hoped it would be interpreted – or one could understand that he would not be deterred from his own private agenda – which is what I believe he actually meant.

William Barr:

He has repeatedly ignored the basic tenants of our laws/traditions to carry out his goals. To name a few: 1) His refusal to recuse from cases where he has obvious conflicts of interest; 2) He uses his office to protect a president and that president’s personal goals so that he, Barr, can carry on with his own goals, instead of protecting the rule of law on behalf of the public he is sworn to protect; and 3) His obvious willful disbelief in the unanimous conclusions of our 17 national security organizations regarding Russian sabotage of our elections in 2016 and likely 2020 as well.

He went so far as to attempt to bring criminal charges against (read persecute) Andrew McCabe. Though we have no confirmation because grand jury proceedings are held in secret, it is the belief among learned legal folks that the only reason McCabe was not charged is because a grand jury refused to indict. The case must have been awfully thin, given the old saw that even a bad prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.

William Barr:

Here is a more comprehensive summary of the many Barr quotes urging for religiosity in government. (Americans United for the Separation of Church and State) This is in direct contradiction to one of our chief founding principles, the separation of church and state.

My conclusion about him based on my observations of him over a career is that he is a religious zealot who seeks to thrust his religious views into government as much as he can. Same as Mike Pence. Same as Mike Pompeo. Same as Betsy DeVos.

To be clear, I have no problem with religious folks participating in government. Nor do I have any problem with atheists participating in government. Any point of view becomes problematic when one tries to impose that personal view on government when it is at odds with our Constitution and the interpretations of that Constitution through the rule of law.

In this Vanity Fair article from Nov. 4 2016, Republicans were already talking about impeaching not yet elected Hillary Clinton. And refusing to approve any SC nominees until a Republican was elected. Pretty interesting read in light of the Republican talking points we are hearing now.

Point taken. But impeachment wasn’t drastic enough for those lying bastards, they wanted no less than for her to be locked up.

Trump is supposed to sign an EO today making Judaism a nationality. Will Barr now want similar treatment for Catholicism? What nationality though - Italian, Polish, Irish…?

The EO on Judaism is really something - it appears to mean that anti-Israeli actions are now religious discrimination. Thus federal funds may be withheld under the Civil Rights act.

Thanks, Jared.
