So I think, even without any grift on the side, something that sounds like a cure or whatever…cool, sorted. Now…where did I put my golf clubs?
Yeah, well, too bad. The carnage is inevitable. There is no way to avoid it at this point. When people look the other way at all of his other crimes, they give him a free pass on anything. He has no reason not to be corrupt. We’ve been rewarding his corruption all along, and he will not only continue to corrupt, but he will take it to the next level and start weaponizing the government against his critics. Calling your congressman won’t stop him.
This is precisely why I have been saying that we probably need some good carnage. No, it’s not a pleasant thought. No, it’s not pleasant to write. No, I know it’s not pleasant to read. Yes, it goes against our instincts for humanity, but this is the way it is. I don’t live in the world of the way it should be; I live in the world of the way it is. This is our world now. Don’t get mad at me for writing unpleasant truths; get mad at the millions of people who don’t care to live in a fact-based world and get especially mad at those who know that Trump is corrupt and incompetent but who nevertheless embrace him as the price they have to pay to keep their America.

Tried to channel his inner Trump and still got shit-canned. Must by some mighty damn strong kool aid these fuckers are drinking to do his bidding and end up getting stiffed anyway. I wonder when it finally dawns on the average soldier that Trump is not a military guy and likely thinks of the department of defense as just another way to fund his corrupt criminal business enterprise and enrich himself - just how he views pretty much every other agency.
You don’t see that a huge part of why you get on everybody’s nerves is your smug self-satisfaction. It can make a reader turn punchy, though your readers here would not follow through on it.
Trump has had himself quite a week, hasn’t he? In addition to his ongoing bungling of the coronavirus response, he’s:
Fired the Inspector General who kicked off the Ukraine investigation
Fired the Inspector General who would have overseen the $2T CV aid package distribution
Used his daily “briefings” to berate reporters who asked him tough questions without first prefacing it with “You’re doing a great job!”
Blocked Dr Fauci from answering a question he (Trump) was tired of hearing
Fired (through his toady) the captain of an aircraft carrier for going outside of the chain of command in asking for help with a CV outbreak onboard, and then
Fired the toady.
And I’ve probably missed some.
Well, we can attribute that to MANY posters here. 
Fully aware of it, but they’re “punchy” when I’m not smug but simply saying things they’re not prepared to accept, like the fact that they’re watching their country turn into a kleptocratic authoritarian state, that it’s because dumb shit voters are letting it happen, and that something extraordinary will have to happen to these dumbshit voters to help them achieve enlightenment. I guess I’m the kid who has to point out that Santa Claus isn’t real, and people hate me for it. But it’s better that they know the truth now.
Was it last week or yesterday that he did that thing of putting a question over to Pence and after Pence made noises for five minutes, said “that was a great answer, Mike has just spent five minutes talking without getting anywhere near your question!”?
Dude doesn’t just fart, he yells “that was me!!!” in case anybody didn’t realize it. Usually the people who do that wear strange clothing and a ton of makeup… oh wait…
Two weeks. Two minutes. What difference does it make anymore. There are no consequences for any of the countless lies or unintentional damning truths that he tells on a daily basis.
Listen to him now. He’s a mental deficient. He should be gagged and dragged away for the good of everyone concerned. But he won’t. Perfectly competent and otherwise intelligent people are powerless to stop a lunatic who has taken over the entire system of government, making checks and balances irrelevant.
