The way I heard this expression many years ago was, “He has the Sadim touch. That’s ‘Midas’ spelled backward. Everything he touches turns into dlog, and you know that that is.”
And I assume, of course, that you’re willing to be one of those who will suffer for it?
At this point, do you really believe he’s even capable of having a “thought process”? He basically just pulls something out of his ass and hopes it sounds, “intellectual”. I honestly am starting to subscribe to the theory that he’s in the early stages of dementia. Or at the very least, he’s on some serious drugs.
He’s never made sense, but he’s been worse than usual lately.
Speaking of doublethink, at today’s press circus, Trump went off on a sidebar rant about how awful it was that “the previous administration” let 18,000 people die (more like 12,000, not that that’s so much better) during the 2009 H1N1 outbreak, this after having spent the past several days crowing that he’s done a fabulous job if we get out of this one with a mere 100,000 dead.
I’ll be in my room. Don’t worry about those thumps you hear; it’s just me banging my head against the wall.
It also took a year to get to that death toll for H1N1 (even accepting the high end figure).
Trump will get his wish and beat Obama in something. We’ll see more than 18000 deaths in April 2020 alone. It’s not fair to lay that entirely at Trump’s feet, as we’re comparing apples and oranges in terms of diseases, but it is fair to lay the 2 months of delay and the resulting unnecessary misery and suffering squarely on him.
He would be a pathetic excuse for toenail fungus, much less a human being. It also does not say a lot for us that we (collectively anyway) elected him.
One of the news stories I listened to yesterday said specifically the 1MC was used. That it was the specific term and not just ‘PA’ like most of the other outlets used leads me to believe the writers knew what they were talking about and the [del]asshole[/del] ‘acting’ SecNav was onboard.
I was feeling sorry for whoever it is that takes command. Stepping into a shitstorm not of their making.
This administration makes Harding’s administration look squeaky clean by comparison. Even during a time of extreme crisis, they never pass up a chance to take their cut and profit at the expense of everyone else.
Stephanie Grisham out as press secretary. Steph, we hardly knew you. In fact, we never saw you. Now she’s heading over to the East Wing to be Melania’s chief of staff. This begs the question, why does she need a chief of staff?
