I think he is trying (and failing) to make the following argument. Sure some so called experts might say that the US has more cases and deaths than anywhere else in the world, and sure the number of cases in increasing everyday with no end in sight, but that’s just because we are doing so much testing. After all anyone who wants a test can get one. So the fact that we have so many cases is just proof of what a great job he’s doing.

As the election nears, I think it’s time for all those who despise Trump to settle on a consistent nickname for him. Really, drive the same phrase home for six months, over, over, and over. And over again. You can’t do that when people are using close to dozen assorted variations.

It’s no surprise that Fearless Leader has decided to attempt to politically weaponize the state shutdowns, rather than to support governors and mayors who are the boots on the ground. IMO, he is not only backing the wrong horse here, he has seriously underestimated how the majority of people feel about exercising caution. Instead, he’s buying into the opinions of the very few covidiots out there who are making all the noise. In the face of tens of thousands of deaths and hundreds of thousands of infections, his usual ploy of pitting people against one another is quite likely to backfire badly. At least I hope so. If there is a resurgence of the infection rate, which is quite likely, the blame will fall squarely on his narrow shoulders, and I hope the blowback is immediate and ferocious.

Georgia reopened and had a spike in new cases. Yet, I’m still getting nonsense from certain people in that state about how evil the liberals and Democrats are for opposing the opening, how un-American and unconstitutional they are. There is now literally nothing that will persuade magats and trumpeters from their allegiance to the fearful leader.

That’s too difficult for him to understand. He’ll think you’re talking about the lighting in the room, and he’ll blame it on the very bad (and expensive!) light bulbs that Obama replaced our big beautiful bulbs with, and by the way, a lot of people are saying these new bulbs make him look orange, which is very unfair.
