I suspect that almost anyone with any high level influence in this administration is probably compromising themselves legally. This is how you get access to power in their world. You do something that compromises you, which gives them the ability to let you in a little deeper, thereby putting you deeper into the quicksand. And if you try to back out, if you try to speak out, there could be consequences.

ALL modern websites store cookies on your device, including the SDMB (which is why you don’t need to log in every time you visit). In 2009 the EU passed a directive requiring all websites to obtain the user’s consent before storing cookies on their devices, and in Oct 2019 an EU court clarified that this cannot be implied, or subtle – around that time all websites that serve EU customers started putting very noticeable popups requiring you to accept their tracking cookies. The US version of HuffPo is storing the exact same cookies as the UK version of HuffPo (yes, yes, I know, Brexit), but the US version doesn’t bother to inform you. The link in question happens to be a .co.uk link, which is why you’re getting that popup, but there’s nothing exactly sinister about it.
I am okay with that. Sorta sounds the same as dim Donald anyway.

“Little Donny Fail-Fail” is still my favorite.
I like Loser Donald. “Loser” is the worst insult he can think of.
I’m still loving the old classic “Donald the Deranged Dotard”. But I agree, that Dumb Donald is probably better for mass consumption.
Trumple-thin-skin is my favorite. It gets a laugh every time I use it in real life but it is annoying to write.

I still sometimes use “President Little Gloves” (President Caestula is more correct, but who uses Latin any more?) Goes with “Incitatus”, which is how I refer to Jared Kushner.
