There are actually many memos, directives, and announcements coming out that are reminding people that their oath is to the Constitution. I was in the AF for 22 years, and never saw any communications from senior leaders that directed me to remember my oath. It’s actually quite telling to me.
From what I know (no cite, my sources are American journals but I don’t have the bookmarks), US methods are more long-term. Things such as getting anybody in a low-employment area on disability if any kind of excuse is found so they count as “disabled” and not “unemployed”. And yes, this is simultaneous with making getting disability a maze when it’s not going to make anybody’s numbers get better.
Oh, he’s attended that church, thrice, IIRC. But each time he’s been there, some asininity ensued thanks 100% to him.
p.s. St. John’s Episcopal Church on Lafayette Square is called “The Church of the Presidents”, but that by no means it is government property. That is just a nickname for it. The church is still the property of the Episcopal Church.
Individual 1 is withdrawing 9500 US troops from Germany. He says it totally has nothing to do with Angela Merkel telling him she would not be attending his planned G-7 summit at Mar al Lago.
Funny that. In Aus, the govt have gone the opposite tack, getting people OFF disability and back into the job queues. Unless your disability is going to get ‘better’ in the future, you’re assessed as being able to work x hours per week and will get Jobseeker payment as a top up. FTR, the allowance for Jobseekers is considerably less than the Disability Support Pension.
Well I’ll be! I don’t suppose trumpo will take pains to publicize this “error” after he took his victory lap.
He’s such a piece of shit he even said George Floyd would be happy about the purported improvement in unemployment rates. Because obviously even a guy who was murdered by the police would be more concerned about trumpo’s reelection chances/economy.
It’s almost like he knew about the error, but wanted to make sure he said something so outrageous that his idiotic comment would get more play in the next news cycle, than the truth about unemployment.
In Spain they’re independent things, so that kind of accounting just doesn’t work. Definitely a case of “the more things change…”, though; what changes from place to place is which slots governments can play with but boy do they love the game.
