The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

What problems? Pics of The Orange One with a bottle in his hand. I thought there would be a video. I don’t see him spilling it down his chest. This is a perfect example of what people who will use “Trump derangement syndrom”. We “libtards” will critize him for ANYTHING. Like Republicans critized Obama for wearing a tan suit.

We are better than that. Let’s stick to the 1000 ways to criticize him.

Cut the guy some slack. He just isn’t over Mucho Grande.

Bottle in his hands. That’s not a common way for an adult to drink. Assuming they’re sober or not neurologically impaired.

Too late to edit my response, but if putting that meme out there helps to discredit him, so be it. The fucking gloves have come off. Trump and his minions will do anything to get him re-elected. So fuck them, make fun of him anyway you can.

Bunker Boy

Dumbass Donnie

Lying cheating motherfucking piece of shit.

It is not really criticism, as such. No one is saying “he’s doing it all wrong”. It is more a matter of people seeing indications that his neuron is getting frayed. Meaning, “Hey, this guy is having some serious issues: we need to be keeping him away from the big red buttons.”

Yes it is. I just picked up a bottle that was on the left side of my desk, transferred from my left hand to my right. At a certain point, both hands held the bottle. If someone had taken a picture at that moment, it would look like I needed to hold the bottle with two hands

I am not defending Trump. He may very well need to use two hands to drink from a bottle, these pics don’t show that

Here you go: Trump Uses Two Hands to Drink Water

He brings the glass partway to his face, purses his lips to drink when the glass is still inches away, then uses his other hand to push the glass to his waiting lips.

Nothing at all normal about this. The video was also exceedingly easy to find…

Oh wow. You got me. He has a glass or cup in his right hand, and he just moves his left hand up, and that is evidence of, what? He wasn’t spilling the water.

All I am saying is that Trump is a despot, an idiot, a liar, a con man, a threat to this entire country. Those are the arguments we should be making, not that he is a senile old man. Because if we get into that debate, well fuck our canditate is not much better.

You know what, I have just watched the entire video. I only responded to the drinking water clip. Just that. I still see nothing unusual about it. Seeing the entire speech, we have a heavily medicated President.

The posture in that clip is very odd. He is listing to port (is his arm resting on the podium?) with his right arm straight – to me it looks like a man who is trying to exude confidence to obscure his low self-esteem. Then there are these odd moves where his head cants left for a bit, then cants right as though he is trying to evoke a martinet or something (marionette?). I am suddenly hearing Michael Palin’s voice (was it holy grail?) “What a strange person.”

Liberals should thank god for Trump. If Trump could beat Hillary, then almost any other prominent Republican could have. If almost any other prominent Republican were President now, there would be little difference in most domestic policies. We’d still have soaring military budgets and tax cuts ballooning the deficit; we’d still have a bazillion conservative judges appointed; we’d still have attempts to deregulate industry and ban abortion and suppress minority voting and defund social safety nets and all that other stuff. We would probably have a better foreign policy, but that doesn’t affect most of us, nor does Trump’s Justice Department playing favorites affect most of us. Just about the only thing that does affect most of us that would be better is the coronavirus response.

In short, if some other Republican had been elected, it would make very little difference domestically, except that his chances of re-election would be much higher. It’s only Trump’s gross incompetence, buffoonery, overt racism, and corruption that makes it likely Biden will win.

I am not entirely sure about that. ShitGibbon uses his twitterhea as a rather effective distraction tool that prevents the opposition from getting significant traction (publicity) against much of the trashing he is undertaking. A Cruz, for example, would have had to mount a plausible defense against his actual policies. An Orange Menace avoids that by making a lot of noise in the media about niggling bullshit.

Ya, I’m in agreement with the heavily medicated.

Lot’s of slurring going on there.

The water thing was odd though. It’s like his left hand was too weak to hold the water glass, and he had to use his right at the last minute to prevent it from falling.

#trumpwearsdiapers was trending on Twitter but I could not find an obvious reason as to why (aside from the super-obvious that is).

Yeah, dude’s right arm is not working properly.

I checked out the video and Trump seemed a bit surprised his limb wasn’t behaving - damn, not just the country but his own body is rebelling against him!

Here’s him walking down the ramp (sorry for any ads, but my time to search for an adless one is limited this morning). Again, it looks like he’s having some trouble with his right side. He also seems to be looking much more intently at his feet than an adult normally would.

My totally-layman first guess would be a stroke of some sort but I’m not a doctor and I’m sure there are at least a dozen other things it could be. It just doesn’t seem right or normal.

But here’s something interesting - video from 2017 showing Trump also two-fisted drinking water. It’s not as marked as the 2020 video, but… hmm…

Either that’s an interesting quirk regarding water drinking, or Trump has a problem that may be getting worse.

I suppose it’s possible he had a stroke before he became president, went through re-hab, and this is a lingering problem. Or it could totally be something else because, ya know, I’m not a doctor.

Maybe his arm was just falling asleep or something, but this motion (in the second clip) was a bit odd too.

Regarding the water drinking issue, I’ve read some speculation that he’s so self-conscious about the appearance of his neck folds that he goes out of his way to keep his head tilted down.

No, Reagan was the guy who was getting senile during the end of his time in office. Fortunately, he was still pretty functional (it was early signs) and the people around him helped him get through that last bit without causing a problem for the nation.

Whether or not Trump’s right side is working properly is a different question than is he mentally competent and able to run the country. After all, we’ve had a disabled president before and FDR functioned quite well as president for three terms (yes, he was elected a fourth time but his health went rapidly downhill shortly thereafter). Also, yes, FDR’s problem is definitely a different thing that whatever may or may not be ailing Trump at this point. Despite Trump’s bluster, a modern leader doesn’t need to be physically robust to run a country, but *mental *functioning is very important.

What concerns me is that our president (and he is our president regardless of any personal feelings) may be suffering from a medical ailment that is not being properly addressed. Is it something that could interfere with his job performance? I have no frickin’ idea, I’m not a doctor. If it’s neurological it might. Or might not.

Not really; a normal Republican wouldn’t have excited the base like he does. He’s a “superstimulus”; a caricature of everything the Republican Party has spent decades teaching their base to follow and admire. Bigotry. Cruelty. Ignorance. Greed. Hatred. Irrationality. Corruption. Dishonesty. Everything the Republicans stand for, taken up to 11.

A normal Republican wouldn’t be as fractally horrible as Trump, and therefore wouldn’t be as appealing.

Graduates of the United States Military Academy are commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the Army; of the United States Naval Academy as Ensigns in the Navy or Second Lieutenants in the Marine Corps; of the United States Air Force Academy as Second Lieutenants in the Air Force or the Space Force; of the United States Coast Guard as Ensigns in the Coast Guard; of the United States Merchant Marine Academy as Ensigns in the United States Reserve (but see here for further information); and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences has its own practice regarding commissioning. Note that the rank title given for the USPHSCC of Ensign is technically incorrect, AFAIK. I think I covered or at least linked to all the appropriate information.

I like that fantasy. The problem is that they are subject to disciplinary action under the Uniform Code of Military Justice and doing what you envision is certainly disrespect towards the Commander-in-Chief.

I still like *Damn Dirty Lying Sack of Dung.

I donno, he could have bursitis or gout or something. The drinking water thing is really nothing. We should concentrate on his crimes and abject disregard for anyone but himself.
