Slavery didn’t end in all of America on June 19, 1865 (the first Juneteenth). It was still legal in Kentucky and Delaware, where slavery didn’t end until December 18, 1865 when the 13th Amendment went into effect.
I’ve only seen a short sequence, but the orange paint was more obvious than in any footage I’ve seen before. His make up people don’t seem to give a shit anymore.
I’m no expert at all, but in the pictures of the cadets today the uniforms look just like the ones I’m finding in a Google Image search for the 2014 commencement, chosen more or less at random.
Several posts after this one speculated on why Trump backed off the Juneteenth date for his rally, but I think OttoDaFe has the right answer in the post quoted here (which was at the bottom of the page for those using the ‘20 posts per page’ formatting).
I agree that Trump was warned that a revived counter-programming rally, filled with people carrying anti-Trump signs–and possibly Trump Baby balloons and other symbols of the nation’s contempt for him–might get more coverage than his own rally. That would be something he’d do anything to avoid.

If he really believes it’s a hoax, he wouldn’t require waivers at his upcoming rally.
I only caught a little bit of the footage, but a couple of things struck me.
First, the way Trump was leaning heavily on the lectern as he spoke to the cadets. It was sloppy and lazy-looking. Not a flattering contrast with the cadets, who stood patiently at attention.
Second, even though the cadets were standing in a customary formation, there was a set to their body language that appeared… less than welcoming. I’ll allow this may be me projecting, but you know how you can look out at an audience and tell when they’re just enduring the speaker? That’s how they struck me.
I go down steps better with two store bought knees and I’m only a few years younger than The Donald. The man seriously looks like someone who has had a mini-stroke.
Can someone post a link to some video for me, before I have to go and search for it myself? (There’s only so much effort I’m willing to put into seeing a Trump video.)

Woulda been so cool if the entire graduating class of West Point cadets had turned their backs on Trump’s speech.

That negates my response earlier. He hasn’t learned shit. He still thinks he can win with just the support of his base. He can’t. Assuming a fair election, he is done. He has no chance of being relected.

Whoever set up the date and the location of the rally knew what Juneteenth is, and meant it to be a YUUGE dogwhistle event. I smell Miller.
