Because nearly everything from this administration is a lie?
Back on February 14, the day after Flynn was fired, the NY Times came out with a story that many 45 officials had met with Russians during and after the campaign. All of the above denied that story. In fact, the story was true and has been supported by many other journalists and even under oath by Clapper.

This exactly. I have a feeling that once this whole thing collapses and all the stories start coming out, we will all be completely dumbfounded. Even those of us who have stated from the beginning what a “clusterfuck” this administration is will be just totally gobsmacked.
Those who supported him will then fall into 2 categories. People who will deny ever having supported him, or folks like Okrahoma who will refuse to believe anything no matter how much evidence comes out.
The thing I just can’t wrap my head around is how is there ANYONE at all who still supports this guy? I guess the only way those hard core supporters will abandon him is when the United States looks like some post apocalypse wasteland like from Terminator or something.
He could be much clearer – for example, he could have said “The President revealed no classified or otherwise sensitive information to the Russians”. He didn’t say that.
I’ll just leave this here, from Trump’s interview with The Economist. I swear to god, it’s like the President is a relatively dim 6th grader perpetually trying to bluff his way out of not having read the homework assignment:
David Brooks – who is about the most moderate Republican that still exists these days and writes more columns criticizing the right than the left – takes so much shit from online liberals that it’s actually crazy. I’m pretty sure it’s because (A) he writes for the NY Times so folks on the left might actually come across his work, and (B) a pile-on has started so it’s just expected to be done for sport.

uhhh - dude - you FIRED Director Comey…and apparently the leak starts with you.
I don’t understand why he thinks harping on the leaks helps his case. Leaks happen because of weak leadership. People don’t know where the ship is going and they don’t trust their own management to correct course, so they go to the press. Run a better organization and there won’t be so many leaks. It’s like he’s highlighting his own ineptitude as a leader thinking that it will make people like him more.
Not only that - but by going after the ‘leakers’ - it only serves to confirm that the information leaked was valid/accurate - and that he didn’t like that others found out about it.
The comments (may have been an opinion peice, not sure now where I saw it) that "Flynn would still have a job if it weren’t for the leakers’ is probably the most telling thing in this regard.
Maybe we should have a senate select committee investigate this alleged breach of security. After all, if we had 9 different Republican headed committees investigating Clinton and this attack (none of which found anything), it can’t hurt to have one little committee investigate the relationship between Trump and Russia, amiright Okra? I mean just on the off chance that where there is smoke, there is fire. I mean the whole thing with Flynn was unfortunate, and of course all the lobbying that Manafort has done for Russia. I am sure you are right that these are just stupid conspiracy theories and that these dumb libtards are butthurt over winning too much, but just to be sure we should check, right? It didn’t hurt with Clinton, Obama, and Clinton…
Also, Trump proved to us that the leaks are necessary. If it weren’t for the leaks, the NSA would still be Michael Flynn. Those 18 days would still be going.
OK, but now I am confused; why did Trump tweet this morning that he had every right to do what he did when what he did never happened? Who should I believe now Okra?
