I honestly think the chaos and confusion comes from people expecting him to be either smart or at least respectful of the office. When we accept that there will be nothing but lies, stupidity, treason and corruption coming from the jerk, when can move on to limiting his damage.

Yes, but a year ago there was the hope among many on the political right that Trump might be malleable and useful. That hope is beginning to fade, and that was somewhat evident during the Comey hearing. You didn’t see too many GOP senators attacking Comey, instead only offering the occasional leading question in an attempt to frame his testimony a bit. But the Senate is increasingly not DJT’s friend, and the GOP is in danger of inexplicably losing de facto legislative control barely a half year into Trump’s term. The GOP should have already slam dunked several key pieces of legislation; instead they’re sputtering and if they don’t have anything to offer by the August recess, they’re going to have a hell of time explaining that to their voters.
And if you want to know what actually could be Tump’s impeachable offense, it could be summed up in two words: Jon Ossoff. He’s got a 7% lead in a recent poll, and if he somehow takes a congressional seat in what was once Newt Gingrich’s territory, you’re going to see Republicans running through the streets like it’s the original broadcast of Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds.
For many, Trump’s sowing chaos and confusion is precisely why he has detractors.
