It is worrisome that apparently his decision not to show up implies that security at the game will be less thorough:
A major incident at tonight’s game would be wildly, massively advantageous for Trump. It would virtually close down attention to the fact of his being under investigation. And when it comes to ‘crack-downs to keep America safe’ it could be burning-of-the-Reichstag-level useful to him.
Please, please, please, let it be the case that security measures will be painstaking and meticulous, tonight, despite Trump’s declining to attend. (And, yes, of course, I hope this for the welfare of all who attend; it’s too easy to get lost in horror at the thought of what a Reichstag-burning-like event might mean for the continued existence of the rule of law.)

Well, see, the kicker here is that we understand the English language and things like “logic” and “thinking” well enough to realize that there’s nothing particularly wrong with passing along the speculative opinions of a source, even if that speculation turned out to be wrong. You know, I don’t really have a clear response to this. On the on hand you sound like you are living in a really weird fantasy world. On the other hand, that obviously corrupt and incompetent piece of orange shit actually got elected, over the protests of the educated and rational. So maybe we ARE in a really weird nightmare fantasy world, and making predictions based on what is right, good, or obviously suggested by all facts in evidence might not be a good idea.

Well, I think it would be ok to realize that impeachment is not really possible at this time; first, we need to fight to take the House and the Senate. That is precisely why I think that a lot of Republicans do not want to talk about it. Better to complain about easier to counter impeachment talk, because… that helps them to avoid talking about the people realizing that the Republican congress critters are the ones that need to be removed from office.
Now, tossing those Republican rascals out is a less difficult task now as everybody, specially independents and moderate conservatives, can plainly see that the current Republican congress critters are getting willfully in bed with a flea infested guy.
