The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

If there is one thing I can find agreement with Okrahoma on, it is that Trump will not be impeached. Even if Ryan gets a spinal implant and pushes impeachment proceedings forward, Trump will resign, bitch-tweeting the entire time about his “VERY UNFAIR, MASSIVE WITCH HUNT, NO PRESIDENT WAS EVER TREATED SO BADLY!!!” routine. He doesn’t have the grit to stand up to actual pointed questions as aptly demonstrated in the many occasions he has ignored, refused, or even scurried out of the room after being confronted with questions. Hell, he couldn’t even shake Angela Merkel’s hand or look her in the eye after she served him up a slice of reality Prinzregententorte, and you know how Trump loves his chocolate cake.

Well looky here. Vice President Mike “The Magic Christian” Pence hires outside counsel in Russia probe.

Looks like all the rats are lawyering up.

Am I paying the tab for this shit? These guys should be out-of-pocket for the shark fees. All of them, down to the assistant clerk to the undersecretary of the Department of Toadlicking. If they got themselves in trouble, it needs to break them worse than my Aunt’s medical bills did her before she checked out.

I did foresee this a long time ago (back in September 2016), just by looking at what Trump’s mini-me was doing in Arizona.

"I think the most likely outcome is what we see in Arizona in a huuuuuuuge scale. Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been doing a lot of what Trump dreams to do to America, with the nasty result being that his authoritarianism has cost the state close to 50 million dollars in court costs and defense attorneys.

Mostly paid by the taxpayers of Arizona. Besides the costs for local business due to lost revenue and several businesses and visitors not coming to Arizona because of the racial profiling and laws that affect minorities. (It is better now because the federal government did limit the new laws and the reach of the sheriff)** those court costs are one big reason why other areas, like investigating rapes, have suffered because of the priorities that many people that vote for the likes of Arpaio like to see. **

I can see Trump doing lots of things for all those that voted for him. **And so a lot of treasure will be lost with the constant legal fights that a lot of people will bring against Trump when he will make orders that eventually will be declared illegal, or that by the time the courts or the legislative branch react to the underhanded measures of Trump, it will be too late for many. **

In essence: what a strange game, the only winning move is not to vote for Trump.. and don’t let his hackers get the launching codes either."

[Bold added and added the businesses and visitors to clarify]

Just make the calculation of the costs Arpaio got us in Arizona (lately, more than 100 million were reported wasted on Arpaio) and make it proportional (but I suspect much more) to the costs we all will have to pay for the Cheeto in Chief.

For what its worth, DEMs 11, REPs 2 . More importantly, a record 24,959 fans turned out at Nationals Park to see the game.

Even though I’m a pretty hardcore Dem these days…would it be wrong to say that I kind wanted the GOP to win this game?

I admit to being a hardcore Dem partisan in politics, but I am also an American. An attack an a GOP congressman is an attack an America, on America’s political system, on you, on me. Go fuck yourself if you think otherwise. You’re traitorous scum if you even remotely sympathize with the attacker.

You don’t say?

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein tells Americans to be ‘skeptical’ of anonymous sources

“Americans should exercise caution before accepting as true any stories attributed to anonymous ‘officials,’ particularly when they do not identify the country — let alone the branch or agency of government — with which the alleged sources supposedly are affiliated. Americans should be skeptical about anonymous allegations”

There is a little bit of a difference, though. What Derpaio was doing was not actually illegal or wrong at the time, and could be seen as marginally ethical. This administration is a moral catastrophe unlike almost anything we have seen in this land. Derpaio’s legal costs were nominally justified because he was just being a dick, but this Whitehouse has been on the wrong side of acceptable from the outset and should have to pay to address their own deliberate misdeeds.

Quite. For example. I’m rather skeptical of this Okrahoma guy.

I vote for less Okrahoma discussion. I am only interested in discussing the misadventures of Cheetoface and his gang of misfits.

Of course people should maintain a healthy level of skepticism. I said as much 2 pages ago. I noticed that Rod Rosenstein doesn’t call for declaring any story citing anonymous sources as “FAKE NEWS” or “GREATEST WITCH HUNT IN GLOBAL HISTORY.” Based on this, I’d say Rod Rosenstein is infinitely more qualified to be president that the moron who currently has the job.

Actually a lot of what I was talking about was about the fines the state had to pay when his minions had arrested the editors of the weekly New Times (very critical of Arpaio) under pumped up charges, charges that had to be dropped as it clearly that was an abuse of power. Then Arpaio’s racial profiling that was found to be illegal in the courts, then Arpaio got into trouble for trying to ignore the court order on what to do about that racial profiling. And before his current contempt of court case he admitted in court that he had investigated the wife of the judge on his trial. (That, I have to blame on “Trump logic” that tells a gangster of ways to undermine the courts, not very good logic, but it “works” with minds like Trump & Arpaio)

And yes, **all that was known before Trump decided how nice it would be to join hips with Joe Arpaio in the past election. **

Country?

That’s a bit odd, that is.

Yeah, he doesn’t seem to be referring to Wapo or NYT.

Good catch. I wonder if any Breitbart readers will realize this might apply to them.

My initial thought was that Rosenstein made the statement as sop to Trump, to keep him calm for a little while longer.

Ah, I see. That is some vile stuff, there. Officials need to be held to answer for even minor misdeeds, while in office. If I was ruling the nation with an iron fist, abuse of power would not be tolerated.

I read this post again and just to clarify, Little Pig, i wasn’t referring to ‘you’ as in you, I just meant anyone. But I realize now looking at it again, it was pretty crappily written and could have been interpreted differently. Sorry if that’s how it came across.

Well, he was saying Mexico.

México is a different word, and btw one which gets pronounced somewhat differently in different dialects of Spanish (even without getting into people who mispronounce it because of the “x” spelling).

Now in the more serious version, we tend to perceive foreign pronunciations of tortilla or jalapeño (or its alternate spelling jalapeno) as attempts to pronounce it the way we do, only by people who simply don’t have all the phonemes for it, so they need to approximate. But Mexico and México are actually in different languages and have different pronounciations. We also don’t pronounce París the same as Paris, for example, and the second spelling sounds different when speaking French (generally with a bad “r”, because our own phonemic range doesn’t do well with the French “r”), English, German…

That’s not what you were asked.

Just tell do you still think Trump a good president if investigations find evidence of collusion with Russians. Or do you think he was framed ? Or that was only for the best of USA ? Is there a way to prove to you that Trump is a disaster ? If so, what it would take ? Do you even own a hat ( I don’t ) ?

The thing is, “anonymous sources” aren’t anonymous to the reporter or, usually, to the editor. (Deep Throat was an exception: neither Bernstein nor Bradlee knew his true identity at the time. I’m not even sure Woodward did at first.)

“Anonymous source” means the paper/outlet is not revealing the person’s name to the public. The Times and the Post don’t get this information from random emails or unsigned messages left under rocks at bus stops. The articles usually say something like, “staff members who spoke anonymously because they weren’t authorized” blahblahblah. These are people with names and faces who don’t want those names and faces revealed. They’re only anonymous to the public.

And we’ve seen plenty of evidence that speaking publicly with your name and face Out There is no guarantor of truth.
