Vaguely. Six months ago?
At his campaign rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa today, Trump said he doesn’t want poor people working in financial positions in his cabinet, that’s why he hires Goldman Sachs executives.
I dunno. Some homeless people might bring a refreshing perspective to the job.
Can we assume that any funds he raises for a reelection campaign are his to pocket when he quits? B/c this windbag declared for reelection the day after he was inaugurated so it’s like he knows time’s ticking for this graft.
His inaugural committee took in more that BOTH of Obama’s put together, but clearly spent much less. Where’s the rest of that $$$$ going?
Laundered back to the Russian banks, fresh and clean?
That was so he could call his rallies private events and restrict attendance to Nazis and the Klan.
Dementia would be a solid improvement.
Remember that stupid idea we saw floating on this board about how solar panels might make the Wall palatable to Democrats?
Seems Trump’s been reading that same stuff. And pretending he came up with it.
I thought the Mexicans were going to pay for the wall, now it’s solar energy? Our strongman Trump is caving in to Mexico’s refusal to pay?
What about ending the war on coal? Isn’t solar the enemy in that war? I suppose capitulation could be considered to be ending the war, but I don’t think that that’s what people thought he meant.
I know! Let’s build the wall out of coal!
If you haven’t watched this message from Vicente Fox, you have a treat coming!
Great idea! Miners go back to work, and clean air people are happy, too! Win-win!
He asked for immunity to testify in front of the house and senate, and he did that fairly publicly. The request was rejected. He could very well be talking to the FBI under some sort of deal that we won’t hear about until later. Since he appears to be guilty of some crimes based on public information, and because he is likely to know incriminating stuff about higher-ups, he seems like a classic candidate for a deal.
Plus, seems like they not only have Flynn dead to rights, but also Manafort. I have to imagine that it’s easier to flip a witness if that witness thinks there is another witness who might flip as well.
And apparently, one of Mueller’s recent addition happens to have expert witness flipper on his resume.
That is entirely possible but until there is actual evidence it’s happening, it’s wishful thinking. I don’t particularly like wishful thinking, it’s so often disappointing.
For me, speculating about Trump resigning or otherwise leaving office is wishful thinking. Thinking about what Flynn is doing is just my typical wondering about things that I can’t know yet, but would like to know. Idle speculation for amusement purposes only.
I note that, currently, one of the top twenty threads in GD is foreign policy related.
It’s an interesting period for international relations with the USA effectively leaving the stage for a 4-year bathroom break. Well, apart from support here and there.
With Russia and its friends taking control of the Syrian issue it will be genuinely fascinating to see what occurs elsewhere.
What is the point of asking for immunity if loser Donald is just going to pardon you?
Yup, tell each one that the OTHER is squealing like a stuck pig. Play them off against each other.
