You have all sort of oils and acids in your hands that can cause damage to surfaces like that. Space stuff is engineered within microns, so the slight amount of etching done by the residual oils left behind can make a difference.
NASA’s “we were going to clean it anyway” is allowing him to save face. Yeah, they were going to clean it, at some point before it was launched, but now they need to clean it right now, before damage is done.
You made the argument that if Immigration and Customs Enforcement (under the direction of Trump) had gone after this woman, instead of other illegal immigrants, that she wouldn’t have been in a position to murder her children. For that to make any sense, they would have needed a reason to focus on her before the murders.
In one sense, all of them are caught after the fact, unless you know some way to identify the “bad hombres” before they do anything bad. But really, we don’t know how many are caught before the fact. Maybe that high school student (whoever you’re referring to) would have gone on a killing spree if not detained.
Look, I’m no fan of Trump, or of fearmongering over illegal immigration. I just want the criticism of him to make sense.
No doubt. That brand of crazy usually has that seal of approval on it, but that wasn’t quite my point.
Like I said, this administration apparently needs no reason other than the fact that these people exist. They should be going after actual “bad hombres”, not soft targets, and preferably before those bad hombres murder anyone.
