It is perhaps telling that Facebook and Twitter are full of people saying the Russian meeting is FAKE NEWS! Millions of Trumpists have already dismissed it as fake news…
… even though Donald Trump Jr. has admitted it is true.
So we’re now at the point, or maybe we were already there, that Trumpists won’t admit anything bad about Trump and his goons even when they confess.
I’m sure our resident Trumpists like Okrahoma will be along to rationalize this, but it won’t be rational.
I think they’ve shifted the meaning of “fake news” to include “not newsworthy.” That’s the only thing I can think of.

His position seems to be a) that Kushner couldn’t have done anything wrong because the Russian agent didn’t have the promised negative info, and b) that Kushner couldn’t have done anything wrong because Clinton would have done the same thing (take a meeting with a Russian agent because the agent claimed to have dirt on Trump; of course Clinton had done no such thing). The provisions of the law banning foreign nationals from providing assistance in a US election seem to entirely escape him.

If you believe a hostile foreign government is interfering in an American election and someone from inside that gov’t wants to meet, you immediately do three things:
- Inform the FBI.
- Inform the CIA.
- Inform all other political parties who have candidates in that election. Yeah, I mean tell the DNC.
You DON’T send a family member off on a do-it-yourself reconnaissance mission.
WHY would you not send a family member on such a mission? To avoid what has indeed come to pass, namely, being accused of collusion. :smack: Not to mention the fact that the election might have been interfered with.

And the Trump minions still say there’s nothing there.
What do you know, the Trump administration apologized for referring to Xi Jiping as the president of the Republic of China, saying it was a tecnical problem. The admin’s right. Technically they’re stupid and that’s the problem!

Mentally ill whack-a-doodle says that NASA has a secret mars base where they are hiding child slaves that used to be hidden in a pizza restaurant in Washington = The complete truth.
There is no sense even trying to reason with these people. They are literally beyond all hope of rational discourse.
Because:
- Hillary would have done it too. Probably worse.
- It’s not collusion if you don’t get decent information from the foreign country.
