The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

I think the song you’re looking for is actually the Horst Wessel Lied.

Die Fahne hoch
Die Reien fest geschlossen
S.A marcheirt

And yes, the ban does not impact anywhere he holds, or has pursued business interests.

Imagine that.

I’m sure Kelly-Anne Conway will be along in a few minutes to reminds us about the Libyan and Somali hijackers on 9/11.

What’s pissing me off more than Trump’s obviously unconstitutional executive order banning Muslims is those federal officials who have begun enforcing it. Those bastards are now no different than the Nazis of WWII. Remember when during the campaign the military’s generals said they would not carry out Trump’s illegal commandments? That’s the intestinal fortitude the border patrol and immigration officers need.

[citation needed]

Didn’t anybody warn him that using his own urine would grow hair on his palms?

Buried under the Muslim ban publicity is Trump [del]revealing his plan to defeat[/del] to order his generals to come up with a plan to defeat ISIS.
The Hill

So much for his lies about having a plan he came up with himself.
Notice how the first and second paragraphs contradict each other.

And to top it off, the Cheeto doesn’t realize he doesn’t need an Executive Order to order the generals to devise a plan.

Here’s what I wonder: liberals say that this country is plutocratic. What interests do plutocrats generally have in a Trumpocratic racist dictatorship or nuclear armageddon? How far would they let things go before taking action, and what kind of action would it be?

Wait! Wait! His boyfriend Putin is going to help him, so we can all relax! Whew!

To quote another poster:

The more crippled the government is, the more they can do as they please; the government is the only protection most people have for their rights and welfare. They want to return to the good old days where employees were basically slaves, and they could get away with things like raping their pretty secretary and machinegunning workers for trying to unionize. *Real *plutocracy.

As for racism, most of them are racist. And are probably in denial of the possibility of Trump causing a nuclear war.

A federal judge has ruled part of the Muslim ban unconstitutional. We will now see if HWMNBN will obey.

“Stupid Mexican judges!”

Liberals like Wall St. and don’t tend to think money has a corrupting influence on politics, unless it’s a Republican doing it. Someone on the left talking about plutocracy is usually a progressive or a socialist.

One of the few bright spots of the rise of Trump is it showed that America still has functioning democratic elements, no matter how warped. The money wanted Jeb! but Trump annihilated him. You still see that Trump’s cabinet is full of slash and burn conservatives who want to privatize public services, and he wants to cut taxes on the wealthy, deregulate industry, and make $500 billion oil deals with Russia, so private enterprise stands to make a profit regardless.

On the other hand, one might expect a pushback from the new money types who often have immigrant backgrounds themselves, or who work in more science or tech oriented industries. Then again a lot of those guys are right-libertarians, so who can really tell.

In case anyone missed this little nugget from today: Trump told the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs & the Director of National Intelligence that their expertise was no longer needed on the National Security Council, and promoted white nationalist and all-around scumbag Stephen K. Bannon to their old spots.

I don’t even know what to say anymore. Krystallnacht didn’t happen on Day 9 of Hitler’s administration either, but there had to have been warning signs less spectacular than the ones we’ve seen in the past 24 hours in America.

Though pissing off the military and intelligence communities has its own drawbacks…

I suppose.
On another note: I participated in a march this morning in Holland, MI (Betsy DeVos’ hometown, and the largest city in Michigan’s reddest county), organized in opposition to Ms. DeVos as our next SecEd. A half hour in there were 1,500 people marching. By the end of it, more than 2,000 had participated. This is unheard of for this part of the state, and the people I talked to were all local.

But now, 12 hours later, Betsy DeVos seems trivial in comparison to the abominations we’ve seen from Trump today.

It’s like they’re just dazzling us with worse and worse shit to make us forget about the previous bad shit. I woke up this morning thinking Betsy DeVos running the Education Department was the worst thing the Trump team had inflicted upon us in the past week. But nope.

On the plus side, Trump seems to be pissing a LOT of people off. I’ve seen a lot of people who were heretofore a-political step up in opposition to Trump because he’s hit them where it hurts (immigration, public schools, the pipeline). They’re getting braver, on Facebook, at church, at rallies. If nothing else, we’re headed for an epic clash. The worm is turning, but what will the Trump people do in response? Again, this clash could be epic…and ugly.

Taxi drivers at JFK went on strike for an hour in protest and Uber pledged to pick up the slack, and now there’s a movement to boycott Uber.

Über alles…

Here’s the detail on that.
