Y’all stop doing things that are worth leaking!
While I was entertained in reading them, I’m with those who think the call transcripts should not have been leaked. Yes, Trump is a buffoon, but we already knew that. As much as it pains us, he’s allowed to be a buffoon. He’s a perfect idiot, but so what?
Some Trump supporters can be reasoned into realizing Trump is an idiot. Some need to be embarrassed into seeing it. The transcript serves those ends.
Leaks happen because of incompetent management and incompetent leadership. Leaks didn’t happen nearly as much in past administrations because staffers weren’t terrified of losing their jobs or being shit on from above every five minutes, and because the President and senior staff understood the importance of making sure your people are pretty happy.
It’s entirely on Trump and his team. I don’t know whether they should or shouldn’t happen, but with shitty management and shitty leadership, leaks are inevitable.

On a more serious note, McConnell can make life difficult for Trump if he wants to. He might look like a turtle and might sound like he’s a banjo player from Appalachia but make no mistake: he has razor sharp political wits. He thinks several moves ahead. I suspect he’s starting to get fed up with the act.
True. But stoking fear among non-political-appointees is what a candidate who campaigned on changing the way government works is supposed to do. I fear we’re very close to the point where a narrative that the Entire Washington Bureaucracy is conspiring against Trump becomes plausible even to non-idiots.
I think the entire Washington establishment is conspiring against Trump, and I heartily endorse their efforts. We’re probably getting leaks from people who realize that they’re working on behalf of a complete moron who is intent on destroying everything we hold dear, and some minor sabotage from the inside is their form of resistance.
Better: Loser Trump or Trump the Loser
Loser is the single worst insult in the Trump dictionary (which, at last count, contains about 350 short words. When he used beleaguered in a tweet, I jumped up and shouted, “FAKE!”).
And how will you feel when The Poor Downtrodden Masses reelect Trump because the Big Meanies in Washington were all ganging up against him?
Torn between wanting to just burn this whole banana stand to the ground and realizing that another 4 years of Trump will probably do that for me.

If that were to happen, I would not be all that concerned about the presidency, at least, as all the big meanies in washington are ganged up against him to prevent him from causing any further harm.
I’d be concerned about the fact that we have that many idiots running around the country voting, but that is a concern for a completely different thread.
I suppose that’s possible, but there’s nothing we can do about it – these leaks are probably coming mostly from political appointees, and maybe to some level from career bureacrats, and are entirely in response to behavior by Trump and his team.
Whining publicly about the leaks just makes Trump and his team look pathetic and weak. The media has absolutely no incentive to not cooperate with leakers, and the voting public has no influence with the leakers. If Trump wants to stop the leaks, he’ll have to stop acting in a way that makes the people who work for him want to leak. Crackdowns/investigations will only catch a tiny minority of leakers, considering how easy it is nowadays to record and transmit information.
And don’t forget that Bluto went on to be a US Senator.
Trump led his Nuremberg Rally in West Virginia yesterday to chants of “Lock her up!”
There was a recent Vox article that opined that the leaks are happening because leaking is the most reliable way to get the administration’s attention. It’s a dysfunctional communication pattern. He doesn’t listen to or read briefings, he’s failed to staff most of the normal communication channels, but he watches Fox & Friends - so if you can get your information on TV, then you can get the president to react to it.
If that’s a correct read of the situation and if Kelly actually builds a working system, the leaks will stop.
Loser definitely has to be part of it.
And according to the full leaked text of the WSJ article can be believed, the only leaks Trump has a problem with are the ones coming out of the Justice Department. He’s fine with the leaks from his staff, he sees it ( and this is a quote) as them " fighting over who loves me the most."

I’m actually starting to blame the opioid crisis for Trump. The correlation is strong but most attribute it tothe usually line about these being the people that were suffering most and the despair of the dying middle class yada yada yada.
