I’m wondering if we could pull off a war that never actually happens between the two deluded maniacs. They can each sit in their respective Towers of Doom watching Anchorbimbos report on how their forces are crushing the enemy. Give them each a big map while guys covered in dinner plate-sized medals pushing around Risk pieces, and a direct line where they can trash talk just like a couple Team Fortress neckbeards.
While the rest of the world goes on like adults.

Yes, I’m sure this can be done. We know that Trump only watches selected TV stations. It would be challenging but doable for a slick Hollywood production company to completely fabricate and simultaneously document a war like they did in Wag the Dog* with video, news reports, the whole Megillah. The focus would be different from the movie, and the success would rest entirely on the stupidity of the mark (Trump).

I think McCain’s heart was in the right place but I could see Trump interpreting that as some kind of dare and thinking “Oh yeah, well guess what? I’m president and you’re not, and I’m gonna drop a few Kim Hung One’s fat ass now!”

That entire interview is amazing: Gorka is doing his Ultra-Belligerently Supercilious act while utterly failing to make a lick of sense. As the hosts said, Trump could choose to say ‘it’s a sad day when a house of worship is attacked’—but won’t, because, you know, it’s Muslim worship. When called on this, Gorka just doubles down on his derisive sneering.

After finally seeing the movie Arrival, I had a nightmarish discussion with my friend about how it would go down if aliens came to Earth with Loser Donald as POTUS. :eek:

Let’s say 500 in 2016.

That would be a little less than 10% of the FBI’s total database. Remember, the line being pushed here is not simply what Gorka said there. It’s not just “there are some fake hate crimes”. It’s that any given hate crime is immediately suspect of being a false flag, or further, that real hate crimes are few and far between compared to false flag hate crimes. That’s the line the alt-right is pushing on this. Check to see how Breitbart covers hate crimes not directed at white men.

That’s not what Gorka said. He said two things:

1. his rule of thumb is that initial report is false. That’s a pretty good rule of thumb - initial reports are often wrong.
2. there was a “series” of false hate crime reports. Unless you think that “dozens” is not a “series”, that’s correct.

Right. And I’m saying, look at this in the context of what the alt-right has to say about hate crimes. It’s not just “this hate crime is questionable”. Gorka makes it pretty clear that all hate crimes are questionable, yet Donald Trump has this uncanny way of immediately shooting his mouth off about some of them. The line is that most hate crimes are bogus. That there is a “growing epidemic” of hate crimes. That it’s all about fake victimhood. And I’m saying that we shouldn’t let him get away with that.
