It has to be seen to be believed. Nothing dissuades the Trumpists. There is absolutely nothing you can tell them - nothing - that will cause them to break from Trump.
Ironically, I’ve started reading the board’s Trumpeteers as trombones.
Except Clothahump, he’s been strangely silent recently.
I mean, it’s not really new information that Donald is a white nationalist and a Nazi sympathizer. It was obvious every time he retweeted images from those sort of websites. Numerous people have looked at the 2016 election and concluded that racism was the issue that primarily motivates Trump supporters.
The GOP has been leaning on their racist dog whistles for the last forty years. All Donald’s done this week is make it impossible for his fellow Republicans to pretend like it’s business as usual. Mind you - none of his fellow Republicans have really denounced Donald by name, but at least they’re mostly clear that Nazis are the bad guys.
Racism is a feature for the modern Republican party.
It’s yet to be seen just how the endgame will play out, but the time frame has certainly moved into the much-nearer future.
Pence may be back just to provide some reassurance to the sane loyalists (both of them) that the White House is under adult supervision, beyond what Kelly can provide.
This will all look like a Comedy Channel movie in not so many years …
This is really interesting…presidents and vice-presidents don’t cut international travel short lightly. Generally, it’s for natural disasters or international crises. “Political shitstorm” isn’t usually sufficient.
And Black supporters somehow managed to convince themselves that he can’t possibly be all that bad. Boy, are they feeling buyer’s remorse.
I Like to imagine them read in the voice of a Bad Shakespearean melodrama on stage in front of a chorus chanting “Soros, Soros” as though it’s a magic Latin spell.
That is all the excuse a Nazi needs to make you a target.
The antifa thugs you are so concerned about are the ones who will be rescuing you when the Nazis come after you.
This President doesn’t cut a golf trip short lightly, and when he does, it *causes *a political shitstorm.

I find it interesting how much effort goes into blaming the media. It’s a media coup! But for the most outrageous examples, all they have to do is play the tape. See that, everybody? No commentary really required. Quotes from senators and business leaders. Footage from protests, or the violence. And Trump’s own words. Things can get slanted, but gimme a break. You want to say the antifa guys got violent too? Fine, it doesn’t change guys marching around with Nazi flags, hating Jews and killing people.
What denial.
And they are shocked, shocked to find themselves in the middle of a pack of rabid feral dogs.

No thanks. I am much more wary of the leftist thugs coming after me because I am a right winger than some Nazis because I am Jewish. I have yet to encounter one Nazi in the US. I have encountered many very agitated leftists. No violent encounters yet. But close.
