OMG, that one hit me hard.
And all those Nazis protesting the decision of the local elected leaders to remove the Robert E Lee statue were all concerned Charlottesville residents?
Yes, it is public property, but what happened to the conservative notion of state/local authority being sacrosanct?
Anyway, I don’t think SaneBill’s example is an apples to apples LEGAL comparison to help you understand, rather it’s a “Here’s an example of both-sides-aren’t-equally-at-fault-when-violence occurs.” It was a nice attempt at helping you understand something most human beings already do, but getting anything through your thick Nazi-apologist skull is pointless. Trolls don’t exist to understand or grow as people, they exist to be anonymous assholes on the Internet because they’re weak road apples in real life.
Hee.
But I thought that there were two CEOs waiting in the wings to replace every grandstander?
Rumor on the Street says that the remaining had quit by this morning, so this was done in an effort to stave off the embarrassment of having his CEO team quit on him.
That is unconfirmed, however. Sounds unlikely and a little too pat, but that’s what I’m reading.
CNN reporting a statement by Carrier (Trump’s poster child) quitting (prior to the disbanding).
He’s going to repeal and replace the CEOs and it’s gonna be great!
Nobody knew CEOs were so complicated.
Especially spelling “C-E-O.” That’s so hard.
Hannity is going to have to examine the fuck out of Hillary Clinton’s emails tonight.
Unless you are black or brown or an Australian woman. Then you get shot by the police you called.
I am reminded of the story of a young Jewish man in the Soviet Union who felt it necessary to go along to get along, and so joined the Party and tried to advance. However, he hit a stumbling block in that his superiors were not satisfied that he properly believed in dialectical materialism.
In desperation and utmost secrecy, he consulted the most clever man he knew: his rabbi.
The rabbi said, “I shall explain by a hypothetical example. Aaron and Benjamin climb down a chimney. Aaron comes out dirty; Benjamin comes out clean. Who washes himself?”
“Aaron, of course.”
“No. Each looks at the other. Aaron sees Benjamin clean and assumes that he himself is clean, while Benjamin looks at Aaron and assumes that he himself is dirty, so Benjamin washes. Now… Aaron and Benjamin climb down a chimney. Aaron comes out dirty; Benjamin comes out clean. Who washes himself?”
“You just explained that Benjamin washes himself.”
“No. Each looks at his own hands. Aaron sees dirty hands and washes himself; Benjamin sees clean hands and does not wash himself. Now, Aaron and Benjamin climb down a chimney. Aaron comes out dirty; Benjamin comes out clean. Who washes himself?”
Frustrated, the young man burst out, “This is ridiculous! You’re just making things up so it comes out the way you want!”
The rabbi smiled. “Ah! Now you understand the concept of dialectical materialism!”
Pence is heading back to deal with this clusterfuck. It’s a fine line that he is going to have to walk if he thinks he is going to be able to take over. I don’t envy him.
Oh, is that what he calls that thing he does with Mistress Olga?

Could tRump be throwing in the towel?
I certainly hope so!
Nice edit you did there. I take it meaning there is no way you could be blamed ?
And you know what, I agree.
Picturing him getting off the plane and saying “So, what’d I miss?”
With all of the nonsense in that press conference, I think there is potential to overlook my favorite part. When he stopped to take a break to make sure that everybody knew the racism wasn’t Bannon’s influence. The great detail he went into to make it clear that he had come to racism all on his own long before Bannon joined. That is ego beyond normal human limits.
On Wacker Drive in Chicago, just across the river from TRump Tower, there’s a statue of George Washington hand-in-hand with the financiers of the Revolution, Robert Morris and Haym Salomon. Heald Square Monument.* The statue was installed in the late 1930s, and the legend is that it was sculpted as an anti-Nazi message, with Washington figuratively and literally inseparable from the other two honorees.
*I’ve lived in Chicago my whole life and I’ve never heard anyone call the location Heald Square. :dubious:
This reminds me of a snippet from a Challenge of the SuperFriends snark recap:
