The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Anyone read the excellent New Yorker article on Trump’s superhero, Carl Icahn? It’s a jaw-dropping read. I don’t have a clue how anyone thinks Trump is in office to help the common man. :smack:

If this is true and those were false flags it means just one thing.
Those nephew-nazis are just as incompetent and ineffective as Trump himself.

Interesting–thanks for posting that. Makes me reexamine my assumptions, which is always a good thing to do.

CNN has been talking for days about their upcoming broadcast of a 9pm ‘town hall’ with Paul Ryan, for Monday 21 August.

So naturally Trump decides to make a speech to the nation at…9pm, Monday, 21 August.

Not a coincidence, I would suspect; Trump really is that petty and vindictive.

I hear that Breitbart is seriously trying to spin the “that’s too bad” comment as being McMaster’s fault. Somehow, McMaster acquired control of Trump’s mouth and made him say that. Because merely ‘failing to brief’ Trump can’t be the answer–an unbriefed Trump could still have said something other than “that’s too bad.” (Maybe “terrible news, and I’ll have more to say shortly” or such.)

Searching, I do find Breitbart as the second hit on this Google Search page—I don’t want to post a link to Breitbart itself:

That tells me Resident Chump is getting his news from InfoWars’ Alex Jones. He has been selling that false flag shit pretty hard.

I’d rather watch The Static Channel.

Mmm. Static.

I’ll be watching Preacher. Pretty interesting. Weird, but interesting.

I’ve recently been watching Static Shock. Not bad, for a several-years-old cartoon.

You need to realize that Christian Conservatives are not united by their love of Jesus Christ. They are united by tribalism, and by their perceived threat from liberals and Muslims. Political correctness, gay rights, abortion, immigration, etc - they see all those as attacks on Christianity. To them, “religious freedom” means the right to assert their bigotry (e.g. refusing to participate in gay weddings, or not even baking a cake for them.). Trump is the perfect representative of this group.

Only if it’s good old analog static. Can’t stand the new digital stuff.

“The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.”

― William Gibson, Neuromancer
When that was written, the sky would’ve been grey. Nowadays it’d be a blue sky…

First look inside the newly redecorated Oval Office.

Gold on gold on gold. With gold accents.

shrug What do you expect from a parvenu?

From The New Yorker’s Andy Borowitz. Encouraging news.

Trump’s Horrific Spelling Reassures Nation That He Cannot Correctly Enter Nuclear Codes

It looks like something out of the 70s.

Trump’s new personal secretary.

No problem, he can declassify anything. Barron can punch in the codes.

It looks like the waiting area for a whorehouse. Not that I would know anything about that…

Rather muted by his standards. I don’t see a single portrait of himself.

Sending more troops to Afghanistan to “kill terrorists” but somehow that’s going to create “everlasting peace”, because he has no desire for nation building.

People are also commenting on his sniffing through the whole speech.
