Not in General School, but Kelly was an USMC sergeant in the early 1970s, and in that era sergeants may well have had the opportunity for such on the job training.

I read today on Facebook, something that I wish I’d thought of first: “Next, Trump will track down and kill all the Thanksgiving turkeys that Obama pardoned.”
And most immediately, because the Harvey disaster (and probable upcoming Irma disaster) means that there will obviously and clearly be no money for The Wall Show. Trump had been looking forward to all the posturing and extra rallies he’d hold to keep The Wall Show going for quite a while:* I’ll shut down the government if Congress won’t fund the wall!!!1!!!*! etc.
Now The Wall Show is relegated to the failed-pilot bin. And Trump badly needed something sufficiently hate-mongery, so as to distract the base…and DACA fits the bill nicely.

There is a school of thought out there that the whole DACA debacle needs to be addressed by congress and written into law, not dealt with by presidential fiat. And that, by rescinding Obama’s executive order, 45 is going to force congress to act.
Of course, assuming they do manage to act, the Republicans will take full credit for solving the Dreamer issue (which annoys the shit out of me) but in the end it might be for the best … at least for the 800,000 people impacted.
And now the latest is DJT saying if Congress doesn’t act within the time frame, he’ll “revisit” the issue. Maybe Obama’s letter made him think twice (but probably not).
I’m fairly certain those departments are now being run by career civil servants. Do you honestly think they will be improved by whatever idiotic appointment the President would make?
