The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

“It’s not my fault the car crashed, I was only hired to drive it.”

Jared is registered to vote as a female, for some reason:

VOTER FRAUD!!! Right here Kobach!

I bolded the point you made with which I disagree.

In my opinion, it wasn’t Trump’s base that elected him. It was moderate Republicans, barely-Democrats and independent voters who couldn’t quite bring themselves to vote for Hillary, many of them swayed by Russian propaganda that came at them like a fire hose through social media, that voted for him together with Trump’s base. The base alone wasn’t enough and won’t be enough in the future.

There’s now a backlash against Trump and his governance as we’re seeing played out in special elections around the country. Dems are making inroads in places that are deeply red, even in places where Trump won by more than 20 points, much to the consternation of Republican strategists. Dems who have been apathetic about voting in the past several years are no longer unaware of what is happening, and they are getting involved in a big way.

I don’t expect the same mistakes to be made in 2018 as were made in 2016. It’s not just Trumpian extremists who feel a sense of urgency.

Andy Boriwitz says Trump has cut Jared’s pay by 30%…

And expects him to wear 6-inch heels when in the Royal Presence.

Like this?

No one can wear heels like that.

I assure you, the majority of the country would love to.

I think we need some sort of No Confidence mechanism, like other countries have.

About Trump’s bullshit about the NFL, and how they supposedly dishonor the flag and the soldiers and Captain America and apple pie etc etc…

Genera Michael Hayden, a former CIA and NSA chief (and former general) says:

“There were tough choices to make: respect for the flag, respect for the anthem, respect for your teammates, respect for justice, respect for your fans, respect for free speech. The president had created what logicians call a false dilemma, that support for free speech or for teammates equated to disrespect for flag, anthem or country. And he did it for political advantage.”

“As a 39-year military veteran, I think I know something about the flag, the anthem, patriotism, and I think I know why we fight. It’s not to allow the president to divide us by wrapping himself in the national banner. I never imagined myself saying this before Friday, but if now forced to choose in this dispute, put me down with Kaepernick.”

Trump blames shipping companies for his inability to lift the Jones Act.

Such a [del]tower of moral fiber[/del] pile of shit.

We do: Article 25, Section 4.

What we lack is a VP and cabinet who have enough spine and[del]/or[/del] loyalty to the Constitution and ideals of the US to invoke it.

Kushner just feels so much prettier when he votes like a girl. I can totally get behind that.

And wet.

And deep.

You know that if Kushner were a Democrat, the alt-right Alex Jones crowd would be claiming that this is proof that he’s a transgender double agent working for the Deep State. Or a lizard or something.

…wait, The alt-right hates JK. I’m off to check Breitbart and InfoWars!

Lock her up! Lock her up!

Trump doesn’t care about Jared’s gender identification
(Just as long as [s]he doesn’t try to join the military!)

Okay, now THAT was funny.

I do. The Democrats will go through their own version of the GOP Civil War (but without actually waiting to win to do it).

Gee, thanks. Now I’m going to go to bed and try to sleep with THAT in my mind’s eye.

Old news, but I don’t recall this being discussed here last June (and googling the SDMB on this subject came up with nothing), so, this stone should definitely not be left unturned:

Systemic racism has been advanced by this WH administration with the nixing of a $400,000 grant to Life After Hate, a group for rehab’ing former neo-nazis and white supremacists. This is a good profile on founder Christaiin Picciolini.
