The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Trump definitely has his finger on the pulse of the Senate.

Trump was apparently referring to Thad Cochrane, who is home recovering from an illness. Even had Cochrane been there to vote, the bill would not have passed.

With Trump’s leadership, it’s inconceivable the bill didn’t pass!

The New York Times ran a list of all of Trump’s promises about healthcare, tax cuts, the Wall, infrastructure, and other things, vs. what actually has gotten accomplished.

Gasp! I was initially hired in 1986. Does that make me a Reagan man? The horror!

Love it

Seriously. Never mind what your political leanings are, and never mind whether you think Trump is wrong so often because he’s lying, or just stupid. How can anyone want someone who is so consistently wrong to be leading the USA?

Because it pisses off the libtards.

But he’s never wrong!! Even if he says two different things minutes apart that can’t both be true, he’s just extra double right.

Exactly, I didn’t understand that myself until earlier today. Bricker and billfish helped out on this. I really did not understand that there were people out here who hated their fellow american citizens more than they loved america itself. By Bricker’s anecdote, he cared about the country ever so very slightly more than he cared about hurting his political enemies, billfish’s account tells that harming the country is just a plus, on top of harming the citizens of his country with whom he has political differences.

Now that I realize that not only are there those who would see their country burn just to singe a few libruls, but that number is actually much much greater than I thought (I was thinking a couple of percent, statistical noise, really, but now I think I should probably estimate it at maybe 75% of people who voted for trump.)

I mean, seriously, how fucked up is it that people voted for trump just to spite other citizens of their country? How fucked in the head do you have to be to hate your country so much that you put someone you know will run it into the ground in charge, just so you can laugh at those who don’t want the country run into the ground.

Then these pieces of shit have the audacity to call themselves patriots.

If you voted for trump in order to “get back at the libruls”, don’t stand for the national anthem. The flag doesn’t want you to. It despises you, as much as you despise the citizens it flies over. You are correct to fly the confederate flag, the flag of treason, because Old Glory symbolizes everything that you oppose.

Explaining why the president is wrong to a Trump supporter is like trying to explain to them why they cannot smell the number 9. They just don’t understand. It’s like trying to teach a goldfish calculus. It’s pointless.

Well, yeah, it actually is. It would be much easier for an airline to buy the CS300 if it already has the CS100, with all the common spare parts and training etc. Delta, for instance, has placed an order for a whole lot of CS100’s, and Boeing’s future there would become much shakier if it went through. There aren’t very many customers for an airframer, and each one has to be fought for viciously.

Where did they do this? I would like to read these anecdotes!

Even Darth Cheney was able to accept his lesbian daughter.

This tells me that Bricker just barely allowed his principles of wanting a country not run into the ground by a moron to win out over his desire to see the people who make or accept crappy arguments be harmed or at the very least offended by choosing to vote for trump.

That trump won in spite of bricker’s noble sacrifice just makes it better for him, I imagine. He gets to see all the libruls all upset about what is happening to our country, and he can claim that his principles made him vote against it, therefore, that’s all he needed to do to be on the “right side”.

See any of billfish’s posts in the same thread.

Very well said.

I call this the “sweet, sweet liberal tears” mindset. Personally, I feel that when you start taking your talking points from Eric Cartman you must be doing something fundamentally wrong.

And it’s not just conservatives who do this toward liberals. I’ve seen “sweet, sweet, conservative tears”, “sweet, sweet misogynist tears”, and others. I hope I’ve not been guilty of doing it, myself.

I miss the emotion of shame in our culture. No one seems to feel it anymore.

Chest-thumping is part of our primate inheritance. In one way or another we’ve all done at least a bit of it. (Recognizing that it is based on self-deception, though, is the function of intelligence.)

Since it’s Trump doing the talking, that should be “neither of which can be true”.

The pure sociopaths are running our society these days. Shame is an alien concept to them.

Yeah, but WE’RE saying it “ironically.”
