The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Aside: Harvard grad Al Franken is a pretty interesting guy.

Not yet anyway. Even with Nixon, there came a point where his own party could no longer ignore the situation.

I doubt it. Republicans may be scum, but a lot of these guys are going to know crazy when they see it. If I were a Republican in Congress, I’d be seriously concerned now.

Maybe, once the first ones break rank, the rest will say they knew it all along.

Too bad for them. They’ve sided with him thus far. Let the whole GOP caucus in both houses hang with him.

Both he and Rachel Maddow had shows on the now-extinct Air America 20 or so years ago. They got me through the day. I never found Franken that funny on SNL, but he was hilarious on Air America, like a radio version of Jon Stewart.

Not only were Trump and Abe talking about and viewing classified documents in public, Trump’s aides were aiming presumably Internet-connected, and therefore hackable, cellphones, at the classified documents.

Republicans of Nixon’s time had a modicum of shame, and an actual desire to serve the country and the constitution.

Today’s Republican politicians are scum. Any moderates have been driven from the party. They will not stand up to Trump for anything. Trump could order the gunning down of protesters in the street, and Republican senators and reps would tut-tut a little bit, and then settle down to explain why it was all the protesters fault in the first place. They have sold their morals and humanity a long time ago.

Lately, I’ve been wondering if the leaks from the White House aren’t actually from hacking into Trump’s personal cellphone, not from people within the White House.

Sad but true.

Mike Flynn’s Position as National Security Adviser Grows Tenuous in White House

But, Flynn’s a wild card. Bitter from his previous firing, egotistical, prone to taking foolish risks. How are they going to keep him quiet? (How long will they let him live?)

He’s a man in the way, with power to take down the whole administration.

Sing like a birdy, General. Sing your song!

HEY!!!

You guys need to leave Donald Trump alone. I just looked at my investment portfolio and all my Canadian holdings are up bigly since Trump was elected!

Go Trump!

Bowe Berghdal’s attorneys are claiming that Trump’s campaign comments violated due process and are trying to get the case thrown out. Prosecutors claim that Trump’s comments were nothing more than campaign rhetoric and should not be taken literally. Have they not been paying attention to what’s been coming out of the White House for the past three weeks or the cries of “lock her up” at the inauguration?

Well, Trump already told his supporters that he had no intention of prosecuting Ms. Clinton and that he just said he would to get their votes.

From the linked article: “Bergdahl’s attorneys argue that potential jurors may feel obligated to agree with the new president and would have a hard time ignoring what he said.” Point is, they’re right and the prosecutors are fooling themselves if they think otherwise.

Wait til Sarah Palin becomes ambassador. Then update us on how it’s going then.

TFW the clusterfuck is fucked inside out and sideways.

"Thanks to my Facebook post, terrorists the world over are researching Rick and his family members. AND they have a great shot of the football itself to research.

Emails! Lock her up!"

Maybe Rick doesn’t like flying back and forth from NY to Florida to DC and prefers to spend his time meditating quietly in Kansas. Maybe this is Rick’s way of getting a transfer.

In lighter news, Leslie Ray Charping has passed on.

Now why did you have to do that? You went a ruined a perfectly wonderful moment of me enjoying my ill-begotten gains.
