As the Mueller indictments were being announced, Trump tweeted, “It is now commonly agreed, after many months of COSTLY looking, that there was NO collusion between Russia and Trump. Was collusion with HC!”

On a side note, there is this long-standing billboard near the freeway in Chehalis[sup]*[/sup] that is adorned with a pathetic Uncle Sam. The message I saw on Tuesday, on the side facing Southbound traffic said, “why so many who don’t want to make america great again?”
*you see very few static billboards in WA state because of state laws, but the guy that originally put it up decades ago argued successfully that it was non-commercial and on private property; of course, there are plenty of those animated signs and billboards, especially on casino land, that really ought to be fucking illegal

As I recall, it used to be on the other side of the freeway and set back a little more. The Uncle Sam is different – a little less classic looking than the original. Still the same far-right nonsense, though.

The local newspaper ran an article a few weeks ago marking the 50th anniversary of its having been there. There’s actually two billboards, one facing north and the other facing south.
I just sort of groan and shake my head whenever I’m travelling to or from Portland and I read whatever nonsense he’s got up there now.
This one’s my favorite because it made me laugh the hardest. I love right wing cognitive dissonance.
