The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

And instead he is… oh, wait… :dubious:

No, I did in fact mean the Shitgibbon. Max Bialystok was the beefy Broadway guy in The Producers who seized upon the idea of raking in the dough from a failed play.

Which I think sums up the situation. We are supposed to support our president, whosoever it might be, but if our president’s [del]apparent[/del] obvious goal is failure, rooting for him to fail (at failure) seems appropriate.

So, this “exciting news” we were promised was just a bunch of prattle about trying to correct the trade deficit with China? I suppose a resignation was way too much to hope for.

Well it’s been some time now, so I decided to check in with you guys. Seems the world hasn’t ended yet. I guess maybe Trump’s not doing to bad

That’s a low bar–the end of the world. I’ll grant you he has not yet ended the world. Stay tuned.

You guess incorrectly.

EXACTLY what we’ve been saying for over 260 pages now!

We’re all very impressed.

Excellent, glad we are all on the same page.

The Trump regime is actually collapsing a lot faster than I expected. So far, so bad.

And here’s my favorite quote from the NPR interview (with my emphasis):

More cognitive dissonance: Trump restricts travel & trade with Cuba just before going to Vietnam. We normalized relations with a nation that killed thousands of Americans and kept POWs in horrid conditions but we simply can’t have normalized relations with Cuba [del]because NObama was the one who tried to normalize them[/del].

You have to remember that AFAIK the Vietnamese didn’t nationalize any American holdings.

{{{group hug!!!}}}

Well, obviously. Because that other guy was never the legitimate president. Shitgibbon was in Kenya, just the other day, so he knows it for a fact.

Yeah, I agree…this has nothing to do with finances or diplomacy; our Cuba policy is driven entirely by anti-Obama spite.

I think it was the Daily Show…when Trump announced his new de-normalization of Cuba relations, they put up a photo-shopped picture of a Trump campaign rally with a supporter holding a sign that read “MAKE IT HARDER FOR US TO TRAVEL TO CUBA!”

Just being Americans in general I’d think we would want him to succeed. He is the potus.

It depends on your definition of “success”. For Trump to succeed in implementing his agenda, it would mean destruction of everything about this country that I hold dear. For him to “succeed” in what I consider a President’s job, it would mean he would become something other than Trump…and that’s not likely. So I want him to fail so badly that his term ends as quickly as possible. Failing that, I want him to be completely stymied in everything he does, so his 4 years do as little damage as possible.

Really? Trump was supposed to end the whole world within a year?! I’ll grant that the Trump administration has fucked up a lot since he took office, but he’s got a helluva lot of inertia to overcome to pull that off, don’t ya think? The world has been pretty well established for some time. Just how much can he possibly accomplish in a year’s time through inaction and ineffectual “leadership”? He talks a big game, but he’s not having a whole lot of success. He needs to try harder.

Trump’s not going to bed? Whuh?

Your wasting your fingers. **TheStake **is one of those “lib’rul tears” guys from election night. And I gotta say, after last night I don’t get the love for the taste of tear drops. Conservative tears taste like battery acid.
