The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

He also said that during the debates/run up to the election - when talking about reimplimenting “stop and frisk” - he stated that if the person the police ‘stopped and frisked’ had a weapon, it would be confiscated.

It’s almost enough to make you think they were bothered about something else …

a) I think we may have FINALLY found something Trump says that’s horribly illegal and unconstitutional, that Trump voters will actually care about. Everything else has been okay, but hands off muh guns!

b) Who would have ever imagined a Republican president taking a harder stance on guns than anyone on the left, while meanwhile senior Democrats are warning all candidates to avoid all discussion of gun control, instead offering "thoughts and prayers?"Granted, we all know Trump will get distracted by something shiny, Pence or whoever else is closest will say “I think what the President meant was…” and he’ll shift his stance to whatever he thinks will glorify him the most, require the least effort, and net him the most profit, but still. It’s positively shocking seeing a Republican advocate for any gun-control not of the “go to the shooting range more, you’ll control your gun better” variety.

And may be enough to finally chip away a few percentage points among the stubborn 32% loyalists to the God-President Twitler.

He didn’t take a stance, he said what he thought would make people clap and say “yay Trump!” to boost his ego.

It’s all part of a master plan. Now the NRA will try marketing guns to liberals.

Jared Kuschner now has a lower security clearance than the official White House calligraphy-person.

I’m amazed that they didn’t fire the White House calligrapher and hire some kind of ex-con document forger to do the job.

No Elvis velvet?

Jesus, Ben. Thinks public housing is too nice, against his own department’s mission, but spends $30,000 of his department’s money on a dinette set for his office.

The fact that the White House has a Chief Calligrapher who hand-writes invitations to state dinners is pretty cool. That gave me a smile this morning.

Oh, the dinette set was only the beginning.

Why does Carson need a dining table and chairs in his OFFICE, anyway? Doesn’t he go home for dinner? I can’t imagine him putting in any overtime hours.

And now she is free to pursue her real ambition - to be the fourth ex-Mrs Donny Trump.

White House furious at embarrassing stories about HUD

They are furious over the news stories, not the behavior of the tone HUD secretary.

Yes. You’ll recall the problem the right had with a leaky White House wasn’t that the Trump Administration was incompetent and dysfunctional, the problem was that people knew about it.

Or when Rob Porter’s alleged domestic violence became news and Trump said “it’s a tough time for him.”

He misspoke. Flake on Trump's 'take the guns' remark: 'He misspoke' - POLITICO

Flake is sticking up for the Howling Yam? Is he going to un-retire next?
Or did Trump’s check not bounce this time?

I think they want to claim Trump misspoke so that when Trump comes back saying something else, they can avoid either calling him out or supporting his idiocy.

You don’t understand Trump supporters. When they hear Trump say “take guns away from bad guys,” they know he isn’t talking about them. He’s talking about obvious bad guys and mentally ill people. They trust their (white) police officers to make the right call. And this is far better than actual gun control laws, because when laws change, it might make it more difficult for everyone to buy guns.

Why do you think she hasn’t been pursuing that all along?

It’s hard to make it home for dinner when you’re the sloth from Zootopia. Hell, it’s hard to make it across your office when you’re the sloth from Zootopia.*

*Credit to Trevor Noah for the Zootopia sloth comparison. Now I can’t un-see it.
