One prominent Republican called me for advice, complaining that Drollinger ‘puts his hand on my thigh and makes sucking noises through his teeth whenever he sits next me’.
Blind quotes are fun.

Eh? They’re all from the linked article, ding-a-ling.
Are the prominent politicians begging him for advice identified?
Woosh!
I think his point was that since there is not way to check Delliger’s claim, the Democratic lawmaker who supposedly came to Drollinger for advice is about as likely to be real as the Republican who asked Typo Negative’s advice.
Precisely. Thank you.
Well, then I’m an idiot. So there. :o
Just a few stats for your amusement/despair.
in the 456 days since its origin, the Trump Clusterfuck Thread has had approximately 41.7 posts per day.
Compare this to the Stupid Republican of the day which has only had 11.8 posts per day
Suggesting that over this period of time the Trump administration has been doing approximately 3.5 times as much strupid things as the whole of the Local, State and National Republican Party, even discounting the other spinoff Trump Twitter and Trump pissoff threads.
That might give the impression that now that Trump has become a stupidity magnet, the Republicans have been slacking off, but further investigation suggests that this is incorrect. In the time between its creation and the start of the Clusterfuck thread, the Stupid Republcan of the day average 11.2 posts per day, so Republican Stupidity has basically been constant.
At this rate I would expect that on July 30th 2019 the Clusterfuck of this administration will outweigh all of Republican Stupidity all the way back to March 2009 when Republcans first put forward the idea to make a law regulating the actions of the first lady.
I’m not that far from Simi Valley (couple of hours drive). I can see myself checking out the internet to read a few of the paeans that have been composed in Ronnie’s memory, just for inspiration. Then I can go paean his grave.
'Tis better to pee on than to be a peon.
I read somewhere that Betsy DeVos wasn’t allowed to speak at the White House prayer meetings because she’s a woman, but I can’t find the article now.
I read something about the prayer meetings too, and I think it had to do with women not being allowed to *teach *(lead the studies) at the meetings, which are actually led by Ralph Dollinger, who firmly adheres to the old-school notion that women can’t preach or teach the gospel. So ol’ Bets may be limited in what she’s allowed to say or share, but I don’t think she’s actually prohibited from speaking there.
I’ve been around enough old-school conservative evangelical Christians to know that keeping women absolutely silent in Bible/prayer meetings isn’t something even they would do.
Wonder if the farmers in Iowa are tired of all this winning yet.
The FBI just executed a warrant against Michael Cohen.
Trump will “make it up to them”, presumably by writing a personal check.
They should demand cash.
Maybe (almost certainly) I’m making too much of this because it fuels my partisan blood lust… but this sounds like Mueller has so much to work with, that he can toss evidence over the wall to another investigative agency, even when that evidence concerns one of Trump’s closest advisers, and the evidence is strong enough to spark a raid on the adviser’s office. Mueller is so busy with all the other crimes he’s dealing with, that potential federal crimes committed by the president’s personal attorney are relatively small potatoes.
“They’re patriots. They’ll understand.”
Scary thing is, his voters will swallow that line of manure because he’s not Hilary.
We were in Delavan, WI this weekend. There’s a former movie theater in the downtown area that is now a church. The marquee read:
KIND ATHEISTS
ARE BETTER THAN
VICIOUS CHRISTIANS
I did a doubletake. The sentiment is something all Christians should agree with, but so few actually do. If the Pubs espoused this kind of Christianity instead of the hate-filled one they champion, well I’d still have a problem with it (big proponent of the separation of church and state here) but not nearly as big a problem.
Washington Post reporter @CarolLeonnig tweets:
An angry Trump calls it “an attack on our country.”
Geez Louise! This is getting serious. Trump could fire Mueller. If he does, what happens next?
Bolton bombs the DOJ.
