President Donald Trump will reportedly abandon plans for a nearly $1.8 billion compensation fund designed to pay his allies and alleged “victims” of government “weaponization” after federal judges began firing back at a so-called “settlement” that got him off the hook for tax investigations in exchange for funneling millions of taxpayer dollars to his supporters.
A pending decision, according to Axios and Punchbowl, follows a federal court ruling that temporarily blocks the administration from funding or making any payments from what critics have called a “slush fund” to enrich the president’s aggrieved supporters.
The scheme has also come under heavy fire from members of Congress, where lawmakers abruptly abandoned a series of votes before Memorial Day after hitting an impasse over plans to funnel taxpayer dollars into the fund.
Last week, a federal judge in Washington, D.C. blocked the administration from “taking any further action pursuant to the creation or operation of the Anti-Weaponization Fund” — including transferring money to it, considering any claims, and mailing any checks while a legal challenge plays out.
Another federal judge is also investigating the so-called “settlement” agreement between the president and the IRS after Trump sued his own administration for $10 billion. The judge will determine whether Trump filed a “frivolous lawsuit for the sole purpose of forcing a settlement” to create a fund for his political allies while the president, his family and their businesses escape government scrutiny for tax debts over which they have been under investigation for more than a decade.

President Donald Trump on Monday said he has little interest in whether Iran continues negotiations with the U.S. after Tehran claimed to have cut off communications with Washington over Israeli attacks on their Hezbollah allies in Lebanon.
In an interview with CNBC following reports that Iran had decided to suspend participation in the ongoing talks , he told the cable network: “I don’t care if they’re over, honestly.”
“I really don’t care. I couldn’t care less,” Trump said.
He added that the long-running negotiations had “started to get very boring.”
He also told NBC News earlier in the day that the U.S. should “go silent” in the talks because “we have been talking too much.”
But hours later, he appeared to walk back his prior comments to the television networks by posting on Truth Social that the talks were ongoing and moving quickly.

President Donald Trump touted the results of his most recent physical exam, claiming his score on a cognitive function screening reflects his “extreme intelligence.”
“The results of my Physical Examination, taken at Walter Reed Military Medical Center, and just released, were extremely good,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Saturday, May 30. “Unlike other U.S. Presidents, none of whom have ever taken an approved, high difficulty, Cognitive Test, I scored a perfect 30 out of 30, considered ‘extreme intelligence.’ ”
According to a summary of the president’s recent health checkup shared by the White House over the weekend, Trump’s doctors administered the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a 30-question screening tool used to detect mild cognitive impairment and early-stage dementia. A perfect score indicates normal cognitive function, though the test is not designed to measure intelligence.
If you’re getting that test, it’s because your health care provider is concerned about your cognition, not that they believe you’re a stable sweeper genius. And if you’re getting it done for the fourth time, you should realize something is seriously wrong with your behavior.

Tina Peters, a former elections clerk convicted of multiple charges related to security breaches of Colorado’s 2020 presidential election results, on Monday accused Democrats of trying to “cheat” in the 2026 midterms.
Peters, who was ordered in 2024 to serve nine years in prison before Democratic Gov. Jared Polis commuted her sentence last month in the wake of a pressure campaign from President Donald Trump, made the accusations on Steve Bannon’s podcast shortly after her release from Colorado’s La Vista Correctional Facility. She did not provide evidence for her claims.
"I see these elections that are taking place in real time: the Mamdanis, the Virginia governor — Spanberger — and then what’s going on in California and Texas and Maine — just all over the country,” Peters said. “And I know that the Democrats are going to cheat, and no one’s really addressing the problem that I spent my time in prison as retribution for, and that was exposing the election machines that allow the votes to be flipped.”

President Donald Trump daydreamed about his $13 million renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool while his administration was humiliated on multiple fronts on Monday.
Trump, 79, posted a doctored side-by-side photo of the Reflecting Pool on Truth Social around 3 p.m. on Monday, comparing two identical images of the site under “Hussein Obama” and himself.
The photo on Trump’s side depicts much bluer water than the one on Obama’s side, though the photos are otherwise identical. Both images feature the exact same cloud formations and people walking alongside the pool, meaning one photo is just a color swap of the other.
