Trump, 79, passed the blame for the plummeting sales at the Kennedy Center.
“People don’t realize that The Trump Kennedy Center suffered massive deficits for many years and, like everything else, I merely came in to save it and, if possible, make it far better than ever before!” he wrote in a Truth Social post on Monday. …
Data from Sept. 3 to Oct. 19 last year showed that only 57 percent of tickets had been sold for the typical production, including “comps” or tickets given away to staff or the press, compared to 93 percent in fall 2024 and 80 percent in fall 2023, according to the outlet.
Will he manage to bankrupt the temper tanTrump in the Whithe House / Kennedy Center as if it was a vulgar casino too? He is unbeatable!
Next stop: the whole fucking USA! Yabbadabbaduh!
“China will be sending me a bill very shortly supporting year round E15 to my desk, and I will sign it without delay” (???)
“It’s a word they came up with – ‘affordability.’ They’re the ones that caused the problem. The first time I heard about it was like a few months ago.” (Fake words!)
“I called Macron of France. I said, ‘You gotta double the price of your drugs.’ He said, ‘No no no, I will not do that.’ What was the story with his glasses the other day? What the hell was that all about? … they said, ‘Whatever you ask. We’d love to do it.’” (Things That Never Happened for $2000, Ken.)
“You do know they are paid agitators, right? They get paid. These are all paid agitators, that’s all they are. They get paid. They’re paid insurrectionists. They’re sickos.” (Yes… ha ha ha… YES!)
A very long time ago someone posted about telling the authorities that all their guns fell over the side of the boat when they were ‘fishing’. Granted, it was a wink-wink nudge nudge lie.
Does this mean that the MAGAs will hide their guns and not abide? That only the (D)s will follow the law ( and possibly not all of those )? Are they going to come into houses with gun-sniffing / ammo sniffing dogs and arrest people who own or live in those houses?
That sounds crazy… but a lot of this timeline sounds crazy…
They’re the “good people on both sides”. If they have guns, no problem. 2nd Amendment and all that.
But otherwise, they’re “bad people” and silly things like the Constitution don’t apply to them.
The thing about a fascist system is that the laws exist to constrain the undesirables. Laws can be ignored by the ones on top. And the MAGA folk believe they’re part of that group. A few might be having some second thoughts but I still put it at low odds they think it’s not some kind of mistake or 324rd dimensional chess move they’ve yet to comprehend
“Mister Ellison…? We’d like “Red Dawn” (1984) taken out of your broadcast rotation. It has been suggested by Stephen Miller that it shows ICE agents in a bad light.”
I know it’s quite a popular misconception, but American bases are not American soil, are not American territory. They’re still part of the sovereign host nation.
Yes, it’s been that way for decades. They holy Second Amendment only applies until the government decides that you’re too dark skinned or left wing to be allowed guns.
I could be reading it to literally, but to me it’s straight up sounds like Trump is now threatening his own supporters rather than asking for money nicely. “Donate to me now or ICE well come and shoot you dead.” Maybe he’s getting impatient? Maybe he really does think he doesn’t have long left in the world? Maybe all the controversy over ICE and what’s happened in Minneapolis have caused the well to dry up some? It wouldn’t be the first time dictators have turned against their own supporters for being insufficiently supportive. There’s only so many brown people and progressives they can shoot and kill.
There’s enough cognitive dissonance on the MAGA side that some will simply read this as a bad joke and wave it away. Trump and his cohorts are probably counting on that. I’m sure there’s also enough people that will take this at face value and decide they need to prove their loyalty once again.
And this could easily go in the “leopards eating faces” or schadenfreude threads as well.
I’d say there’s about a 0% chance Trump is writing his own fundraising emails. He probably just hired the guy who used to work for Peter Popoff or the Bakkers.
Oh certainly. There is no chance Trump is personally writing his own fundraising emails. By “Trump” I was referring more to the regime in total. His fundraising team? His social media team? I wasn’t exactly sure how to term it. I’m sure he has people doing this for him. It’s probably impossible to know exactly who wrote the email.
Still, he put his name on it, he owns it. I’m sure it reflects some change or whatever in how he wants to approach fundraising. Everything the regime does ultimately is on him. (And to be clear, I don’t mean “exclusively”. There’s plenty of blame to go around.)
Well, a small chance; most of the time I’m sure it’s just some minion of his. But with his personality I suspect he gets the occasional “I’m a genius!” flash of inspiration and jots down some nonsense he insists be repeated verbatim. The more incoherent it is, the more likely he at least partially dictated it.
Yeah, it’s just his grifting team. But they have to make sure it sounds like he’s talking directly to, in this case, Brian. And I’m sure there are a lot of them who actually believe it when “he” says that he doesn’t see their name on his superuber patriot list and why is that, Brian? They aren’t very bright.
I keep an eye on an old co-worker’s Facebook page. He’s totally in the cult. Not long ago he got a letter from the White House “signed” by Donald J. Trump thanking him for being a longtime supporter. He was so proud of it. Like Trump knew his name. Framed it and everything.
