To be fair, “about 15 minutes away from war with Iran” has been the default state during every Republican administration since 1981.
I’m holding out hope that once again Trump will be too chickenshit to actually commit to anything that would require long-term involvement or US casualties or an uncertain outcome, since his ego won’t allow him to accept anything other than “a perfect victory”.

To be clear, I have no love for the Iranian government and I would love to see them go away, or make peace with Israel and the U.S. I just don’t think that Trump has anything even resembling a plan that could lead to permanent regime change Instead, the U.S is just going to bomb a bunch of random Iranian targets, kill a lot of people, but keep Iran basically the same as it always is, and in return, the Iranians will launch every missile they have left directly at my house. I wanted to post a comment like this last night and I was too tired. I was aware of most of those definitions.My uncle used to also say, “Let’s go out and get stiff” then laugh. Is there a thread in Game Room for 2026 Bingo? I don’t think Trump injecting money to “save” cryptocoins is a legitimate entry – it’s too certain that Trump will do that. The question is HOW?
- He might simply have government BUY some coins or stock in a bit-mining company, e.g. his son’s. (He bought stock in Intel unilaterally – was that even legal?)
- To raise money for the crypto purchase, I suppose he might sell some gold and send a double message: “Crypto is the new gold.”
- Perhaps he’ll make Bitcoin (or someStable-coin(s)) legal tender for taxes due. That would increase the demand for bitcoin, I suppose, especially if he treats bitcoin preferentially.
- Payments like SocSec could be made (at the option of payee?) in crypto-coin.
- What else?
Is it inevitable that he will take some such extreme action? He has big donors in the “crypto industry”, and he’s already set up billion-dollar grifts that want Bitcoin price to recover.
He can sell the program to gullible supporters as conjuring money out of nowhere for America’s benefit. Insider trading (with secrecy aided by crypto’s nature) BEFORE the big announcement will yield billions in profits for himself and friends.
