From what I hear, it wouldn’t be the first time.
I used to drive one too, and I agree (drive, not own - I used to regularly rent one from the Go2 car sharing service). They eventually replaced it with a Kia Picanto, which is just as adorable.
“During the federal shutdown, the current leadership of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health changed Admiral Levine’s photo to remove her current legal name and use a prior name,” says Adrian Shanker, former deputy assistant secretary for health policy in the Biden administration who worked with Levine and is now her spokesperson. He called the move an act “of bigotry against her.”

I drive a 2008 Toyota Aygo. I believe it may be called Yaris in the USA, but Peugot and Citroen make essentiall the same car. Those SMART cars certainly are smaller - and on 1.5 lane (or less) roads in the UK it’s good to have.
What is trump on about with “tiny cars”? All I can think of is the little cars the Shriners (? the ones who wear Fez’s) drive at circuses or something. And was there a law where a three-wheeled Harley Davidson Fat Boy is or is not a car?
As to FIFA, that they allowed Russia to host the 2018 World Cup tells you enough. There’s much more about this corrupt syndicate. And once again, it’s going to be a mess of travel, time zones, countries. And that fat fucker is going to show up for 10 minutes and delay fan entry for more than an hour. And then get another prize. And then shit-post about the USA team not winning.
I’ve said it before: if Trump triggers WW3, it won’t be over Ukraine or the Mideast or the South China Sea - it’ll be by messing with the World Cup. There is nothing the world cares about more. NOTHING.
I’m trying to parse this, but have no idea what you are referring to in this post. Care to clarify?
Specifically, is the “Golden Irish Passport” the same thing as the now-discontinued Irish “Golden Visa”, aka the Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP)?
And what exactly costs $3k and requires an IRS audit?
I’ve always been a fan of really small cars.
Unfortunately, my surmise is that Trump is trying to hawk them solely on shrinkflation grounds.
My cites:
..
My wife and I both drive Fits (both silver, which tends to elicit comment when people see them side by side in the garage). Plenty of room, and parking is so much easier. We’re both pretty mad that they discontinued them (although I believe they still make them for the European market).
But that’s bo-o-oring and takes too long. A vivid video of a boat being blown to smithereens and any survivors summarily executed by a million dollar missile is needed for tonight’s news.
It’s the show that’s important, not the actual effectiveness of interdicting drugs into the US.
Can somebody please explain why we’re still talking about cars in this thread? I mean STILL talking about them…

When something is too good to be true, it usually isn’t. Alas!
And what exactly costs $3k and requires an IRS audit?
I’m guessing cost for renunciation of US citizenship:
Currently $2350 (plus I assume fees for a company to help with this)
Also, Those with more than $10,000 across foreign accounts must file a Foreign Bank Account Report (FBAR) Likewise, those with more than $200,000 in foreign assets on the last day of the tax year — or more than $300,000 at any point during the tax year — must file a form with the IRS
You don’t thnk ending the war against tiny cars is an amazing achievement?
All Hail Sleazer!
Without tiny cars, what will the fez-wearing bears drive at the Kennedy Center’s next ballet performance?

I have an Irish Passport, which is often referred to as “golden” as almost every country will let you in for 30-90 days. Not Russia and I don’t think China. Canada might allow one or two more. The British Passport requires at least an electronic visa to go anywhere in Europe (except Ireland), and you are limited to 90 days. I can go to Spain (or anywhere in the EU - with Ireland having special status in the UK where I am) and live and work indefinitely, yet British people cannot anymore (Brexit).
To relinquish USA Citizenship requires an appointment at the embassy, costs almost $3,000 and comes with a free IRS audit.
ETA: If I have time for more confusion, I was flying to Helsinki via Dusseldorf and went through the EU line. I was then taking a boat to St. Petersburg and the Russian Passport control could not figure out how I got to Helsinki (Russian visa on USA passport). .I shrugged. They shrugged and I got on the boat.
Ah, you’re a spy. Now it makes sense. ![]()
MeidasTouch (17 minutes but the point is made in 2)
Trump’s top federal prosecutors have been fired by federal district court judges and yet they refuse to leave their positions and keep pretending they still hold the job which is harming all their cases.
