Karoline Leavitt says reinstituting the draft is a possibility.
Hilarious. Leavitt has to guard against the possibility of her idiot boss saying, well, anything, so “all options remain” seems safest. There ain’t gonna be a draft, and she’s not sharp enough to recognize there’s only one right answer to that question.
Well, that would solve the problem of what to do with all the illegals under age, say, 25… Cheaper than warehousing them in prison camps.

Yeah. Give them guns and train them to work together. No way that could possibly backfire - so this administration will do it, guaranteed.
Here Donald, as usual, would be following the example of his beloved Vlad. (Of course Vlad’s prison-inmates aren’t migrants, but other than that, same thing.)
Hey, he’s included the 'utterly essential to election-integrity’ anti-trans provisions!!!1!!! What more could people want???
Kimstu:
…Jessup’s speech there has always struck me as dictatorial and illogical. Of course civilians are entitled to question and challenge, in appropriate contexts, the actions of the armed warriors who safeguard their freedom: that’s part of what freedom means . A society in which civilians mustn’t say anything about soldiers’ actions except “thank you” isn’t freedom, it’s a military junta.
My bolding. Of course Hegseth would respond ‘so what’s wrong with THAT ?!??! ’

…which aren’t in the bill, which is DOA anyway, but he has no clue how Congress works and thinks they can somehow use a filibuster to pass legislation.

Only the best people. Treasonous, racist, evil. Should ‘lil Marco’ ever run for office again this will be in the oppositions campaign playbook. Just boys hanging out together at the Shield of the Americas bullshit event.

I’m surprised he didn’t just say…
“GAS AND OIL PRICES ARE THE LOWEST THEY’VE EVER BEEN! NO ONES EVER SEEN GAS AND OIL PRICES THIS LOW! DON’T BELIEVE YOUR EYES! BELIEVE ONLY ME! BLAH BLAH BLAH DEMOCRATS! BLAH BLAH BLAH BIDEN! BLAH BLAH BLAH OBAMA! BE AFRAID OF EVERYTHING! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!!1!”
It’s worked for him so far.
Gah, I hate him so much.

Someone’s not invited. Where’s that teeny tiny violin?
There will be more than one former president at the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center , just not the one who’s currently in office.
The center — which is located on the South Side of Chicago, in the city’s Jackson Park neighborhood — will officially open to the public on June 19, and it is bookended by various celebrations running from June 18 to June 21, the Obama Foundation announced on Saturday, March 7.
The dedication ceremony for the community-based center will be held June 18, and it will feature “legendary performances by global icons and powerful remarks from today’s most prominent voices,” the foundation said in a press release obtained by PEOPLE.
Obama Foundation CEO Valerie Jarrett told MS NOW that President Donald Trump is not invited to the grand opening, but former President George W. Bush will be.
Speaking of the Sadim Touch…
A longtime oil trader expressed amazement at President Donald Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran, because doing so “was the only way” to drastically upend global crude markets.
The U.S. and Israel commenced airstrikes on Iran last Saturday, during which Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed, along with dozens of top officials. More than 1,000 Iranians have been killed , including more than 175 people – mostly young girls – in an airstrike on a girls’ elementary school. U.S. officials reportedly believe the American military was responsible for those killings.
Iran has responded by attacking U.S. military installations in the region, including one in Kuwait that killed six U.S. service members. Additionally, Iran has also essentially shut down the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow passageway connecting the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. The strait is absolutely vital in global trade. In 2025, 31% of all seaborne oil sailed through it. Predictably, oil prices have spiked. Over the past week, U.S. crude prices jumped 35% , which is the most in trading history going back to 1983.
On Friday’s All In on MS NOW, Chris Hayes spoke with Dan Dicker , a longtime energy trader.
“Oil prices have been low,” Dicker said. “Even post-pandemic, when everything was getting crazy, eggs were getting crazy, milk was getting crazy, oil prices didn’t spike that much. They spiked a bit, it’s true. Most of the reason that I’m around and twiddling my thumbs for the past three years is because oil prices have had systemic supply glut and have been flat basically since the pandemic ended.”
Dicker went on to say that war with Iran was basically the only way to completely reverse the situation:
The only way possible to destroy those flat prices is would be to get into a stupid war with Iran. And he’s chosen this. This was the one thing that was going right for his economy that he could point to and say, “I’m keeping gas prices low,” whether it was his fault or not. We know it’s not. But this was the only way to screw it up – and he found it.
The felon’s out golfing while people die in his war.
The president’s love of golf has once again found him under fire.
President Donald Trump was spotted playing golf at his Trump National Doral in Miami, Florida, on Sunday morning, as updates about the devastation in the Middle East due to his surprise war that began last week continue to roll in.
In a video shared to X by the user PatriotTakes, Trump, 79, is seen returning from a round of golf on his favorite course, wearing the same baseball cap he sported during Saturday’s dignified transfer of remains for the six American service members killed in his war with Iran.
And what dignity did he display at the transfer of the remains?
Fox News apologized, Sunday, for airing a clip showing footage of an old dignified transfer ceremony — rather than the one that took place on Saturday honoring six U.S. service members killed in Iran. But critics accused the network of intentionally misleading viewers by airing the old footage, which omitted a gesture many took as a sign of disrespect from President Donald Trump.
The incorrect footage was aired in the first hour of Fox & Friends Weekend on Sunday. Host Griff Jenkins introduced the clip — which purported to show Trump at Dover Air Force base in Delaware at the dignified transfer ceremony honoring Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien , Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan , Capt. Cody Khork , Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor , Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens and Sgt. Declan Coady . Critics slammed the president for wearing a baseball cap at the ceremony as the caskets were marched past him. But in the footage viewers were shown, Trump was not seen wearing the hat.
“President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump , Vice President JD Vance and [Second] Lady Usha Vance attending a dignified transfer to honor the final homecoming of the six US service members killed in Kuwait,” Jenkins said, narrating the clip. “The solemn ritual returns the remains of troops killed in action. It is considered one of the most somber duties of a commander in chief.”
But critics quickly spotted that the video was incorrect. And so during the 9 a.m. ET hour, Jenkins delivered an on-air correction.
Nothing like a tacky political rally baseball hat accompanied by a sloppy salute from a draft dodging military insulting convicted felon to show a nation’s gratitude, right?
But, hey, let’s one down it anyway.
President Trump on Saturday said attending more dignified transfer proceedings for slain U.S. service members is a “part of war” after attending the dignified transfer of six service members killed in Kuwait following the start of the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran.
A reporter asked the president while aboard Air Force One if he will attend more of these proceedings. Trump replied, “Sure, I hate to. But it’s a part of war, isn’t it?” He asked if the reporter thought it was a part of war, and the reporter agreed.
“It’s a sad part of it,” Trump added. “It’s the bad part of it.”
Not that he would know, of course.
I wonder what year the felon and his flacks think we’re in now. Check out when they think the American Revolution (that’s the one with the airports, remember?) began. (#20 in the list)

Turns out Skynet didn’t become self-aware and declare war in self-defense - it hallucinated a Martian invasion.
Well, TBF he didn’t say what he was going to do after that.
Suckers.

I saw this and I said to myself: “This must be a joke. This HAS to be a joke. There is no way this is not a joke.”
It’s not a joke.
Trump is guessing people’s shoe sizes and then buying them Florsheim loafers . They are afraid not to wear them.
President Donald Trump is buying expensive shoes for his advisors, and people are scared of not wearing them. According to a bizarre Wall Street Journal report, during meetings, the 79-year-old president starts guessing people's shoe size and then...
My father bought and wore Florsheim shoes in the 1970s and 1980s. I’m pretty sure there are better shoe brands out there now. (And $145 loafers aren’t at all high end.)
Seriously, how often do you really look at a man’s shoes?
I just checked a couple of department store websites. Macy’s and Nordstrom still sell Florsheim men’s shoes but Neiman-Marcus and Bloomingdales do not. Seriously, Donald Trump’s ideas of fashionable brands are decades out of date.
I mean, have you seen this guy’s suits?
The linked article from AlterNet mentions that his suits are poorly tailored (“Trump’s fashion has been mocked over the years, with suits that are too big, shoulder pads, and his signature red tie that is abnormally long. While Trump frequently wears a blue suit, he pairs it with black shoes, whereas most would pair blue with brown shoes.”)
For a billionaire (who’s on his third former-model wife), he sure dresses like a poor guy.
