Would there be sufficient pushback from “high command” if the directive came that “Well if we aren’t going to commit ground troops then we will take the nuclear option”?
Is that post a copy of something that you found?
I wonder that, and I’m not convinced either way. Is that a bridge too far even for his cabinet toadies—i.e., possible WWIII?
Power Plant Day was always my favorite as a kid, followed closely by Bridge Day. And here we’re getting them both on the same day, at the same time! I can hardly wait.
Is there a traditional dinner for Power Plant Eve and Bridge Eve?
But is it Infrastructure Week yet?
Apparently it is for Iran.
I wondered the same thing. It reads like AI.
Not for the ones who are excited to begin The Rapture.
I got a tree, but I need some help putting the Power Plant ornaments and the Bridge ornaments on so that they look tasteful together.
Composite. Most from Senator Elissa Slotkin post on Facebook regarding firing of top admirals and generals.
That makes sense. It looks like her social media team uses ChatGPT
Might want to support the Forestry Service. (Paywall, but one link amongst many, often local news.)
Yes, and it’s best served cold.
True. But for the other toadies, could this be a line?
They certainly don’t give a shit about the suffering they cause others, but would the possibility of a Russian missile hurtling toward D.C. give them pause? Nukes are a unique level of ratfuckery.
Why would they worry about it? Russia isn’t likely to nuke the US for nuclear weapons used on somebody else. If anything they’d be pleased as it would effectively give them permission to nuke Ukraine.
It’s the very escalation you refer to that could give them pause. Russia nukes Ukraine…and then what? Does a NATO nation get caught in the crossfire?
The point being that there’s no turning back once the nuclear dominos start falling. The toadies may be a-okay with Iranians dropping like flies, but an escalation that could destroy civilization (and—gasp!—themselves!), well, that can really ruin your week.
They will not believe that anyone would nuke a country that can nuke them back, and they would not be wrong, in theory…
Believe me, I wouldn’t bet the ranch on the common sense or decency of his sycophants. But I think even the most morally bankrupt have to realize that using nukes creates the possibility of devastation beyond the first launch. I think there’s a reason that only one nation has used them so far.
