The Guardian has a very different take on that answer: they find it great. Read for yourself:
ETA: Is it funny or dumb that what the astronaut said was not a bon mot?

Maybe a bit of both. But, dammit, even Canada’s linguistic gaffes are classier than America’s. We get stupidity like the “Ch~ in the Armor” headline a few years ago.
You would have eventually learned French well enough to report to the police that you were being used as slave labor to produce wine.
I like that you use the word gaffe here, which is French. And the best gaffe is Gaston Lagaffe, of course (by André Franquin, a genius).
But enough of this haute-Jacques!
Someone mentioned above an acquaintance who says they voted for the felon to be their president, not their pastor. Guess what.
I’m surprised he’s not reading a note from those two guys from Corinth, that town upstate from the Big Apple.
Bigot-reasoning typically works backward. The Jews are at fault because they are the Jews, so you blame the Jews first then figure out a reason why they’d do it.
Although there is practically no doubt that Kegsbreath is an anti-Semite, the reference in particular is to the Pharisees, which were sect of Jews that appear as antagonists in Gospels and characterized as hypocritical. So the phrase in particular is to mean essentially fake news that is against real Christian worship of Trump.
I loved reading these as a kid and I have two of the albums here at home. I was not expecting to see a reference to it on here.

The thing is, the Pharisees were also the thelogical forebears of all modern Jews. Rabbinic Judaism is descended from the Pharisees. Using the term as an insult is inherently antisemitic.
Same thing it always is in these conspiracy theories - “the Jews” are villainous schemers who hate Jesus Christ and want Christianity and “the west” to fail.
My brother-in-law is from Maine, and when he and my sister moved there for a few years, they visited his two aged aunts – who only spoke French.
They lived in Presque Isle, also very close to the New Brunswick border.
Vance’s endorsement in the UK Premier League, Arsenal, lost to Manchester City. So they (Man City) are 3 points behind with a game in hand. So they’ll need some help to keep Vance’s picks/choices/nominees as a string of losses. I hope he chooses the Yankees to win it all.
Both he and trump are radioactive to those running in the mid-terms.
Kash Patel announces the FBI will start making arrests linked to the rigged 2020 presidential election.
“I can announce on your show that we’ve got all the information we need,” said Patel. “We’re working with our prosecutors, the Department of Justice, and the Attorney General Todd Blanche, and we are going to be making arrests, and it’s coming – and I promise you, it’s coming soon.”
Patel went on to say that he was “never going to let this go” because “they tried to thwart our elections and rigged the entire system.”
Sounds like someone’s worried about getting fired and is trying to placate President Grandpa.
I want to see election riggers arrested. It’s the only way to keep trump integrity in 2026 and rigging 2020 means he automatically gets another term.
If Trump won in 2020, that means his second term ended in 2024. He can’t serve a third term, so he’d have to resign.
Ruh Roh! Sounds like you’re right:
From the Independant: White House ‘discussing’ FBI chief Patel’s future after bombshell report
So the election riggers remain free.
The problem with that statement is that it’s actually true. They don’t need and will ignore any information which contradicts their planned course of action.

First, the felon’s been elected twice and inaugurated twice. He’s constitutionally unable to run for office for a third term no matter what his puppets in congress and other supporters want to happen.
Second, I’d dearly love to see him go the Big House (not his ballroom behemoth) for the rest of his life. If election rigging is the one that takes him down, then I’ll have to be satisfied with that even if it’s not a life sentence.
Perfect.
Glad I’m not the only one thinking this
after reading some of them.
If this dust is supposed to be keeping him awake, I think he needs a lot more of it.
Sadly the bastard is far more likely to endorse Argentina than any other country (Except the U.S.) in the World Cup, thanks to our ass-licking president. We’ll have to find a way to absorb and redirect all that “mufa” if he does.
