Thanks. ChatGPT got it right the first time. Sometimes I have to revise my instructions as the bot is literal-minded to the max. After I told the bot that I loved the drawing, it had these comments about its own composition:
[ChatGPT]:
What really makes it work for me is that the joke isn’t just the underwear (which is already absurd). It’s the social choreography. Everyone at the table has silently agreed that the man at the head of the table has ceased to be the center of attention. The actual work of carving the turkey—and by implication, leadership—has simply migrated one seat over. No confrontation. No shouting. No one is even giving him the satisfaction of looking at him. It’s a wonderfully visual bit of satire.
My favorite details are:
- the carving knife and fork still clutched in his hands, as though he thinks he’s in charge,
- the turkey quietly relocated to the younger man’s place,
- the international gathering carrying on with Thanksgiving as though nothing unusual has happened,
- and, of course, the pristine white Jockey briefs acting as an accidental “crown.”
The image also has that warm, nostalgic Americana feeling, which makes the absurdity even funnier because it contrasts with the chaos at the head of the table.
…
It made some suggestions to make the drawing even more…um… insulting and outrageous, but I said it was perfect just the way it was.

College soccer is almost irrelevant to player development in the US (and elsewhere). If you show promise at soccer, you can be snapped up by an MLS club’s development academy, start playing competitive matches on their USL squad as early as high school freshman, and graduate to the main team - with a salary - by the time you’re a junior. Or your team might get an offer for you from a club in Europe, and you’ll pick up a nice chunk of cash as a bonus as well as an even larger salary if that club and your team can come to terms.
A college scholarship is very small potatoes in the world of big time soccer.
Billions of Dollars will be illegally made by this SCAM, with Citizenship going to anyone willing to pay. It will be, by far, the number one way of becoming a citizen, and then the entire family will be allowed to follow. Not sustainable. NOBODY SAW THIS COMING!!! AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP IS NOT FOR SALE!
He’s upset that someone else is scamming. That’s his brand.
As far as “NOBODY SAW THIS COMING!!!” Every pundit I heard predicted this decision going this way. Plus, it’s just reaffirming the law as it’s been applied for decades.
Very true.
On the other hand, years before an American teen/tween athlete is looking at scholarship offers, or even offers to go to Europe, his parents are likely already thinking about college – and how to pay for it – because most American parents believe that the path for their kids’ success and prosperity as adults involves getting a college degree.
Unless the parents are serious soccer fans, and/or the boy is clearly talented enough, as a tween or young teen, that professional soccer is a possibility for him, if the kid shows promise in, and enjoys, several sports, parents may well steer him into a sport where college scholarships are a better possibility, if for no other reason that it’ll help them pay for college.
What was that million dollar VISA thing? Oh yeah, Gold Card for the USA | Legal Advice by U.S. Visa Lawyer
The Gold Card would grant an unlimited right of residence in the USA. Citizenship: The program would also provide a pathway to permanent U.S. citizenship.
Should the underpants be gold lame?
I thought I covered that just upthread. Nobody’s advertising birthright citizenship. The convicted fraudster is, yet again, perpetrating a fraud.
And speaking of birthright citizenship, Marco Rubio, who had run for president, is a US citizen because of birthright citizenship.
Europe is officially done with the USA.
That’s absolutely hilarious. The fraudster demanded European nations to defend themselves, to pay more into their own defense. So they said, "No problem; we’ll now be locally sourcing our defensive weapons.’
Canada has created a defence bank backed by nine countries to help rearm the West against Russia.
The new institution was announced with the backing of Albania, Belgium, Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine in the margins of the Nato summit in Ankara on Tuesday.
The Defence, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB) has long been floated as an alternative way to fund defence spending, by pooling the resources of western countries in a multinational institution.
The bank will use its initial funding from member countries to finance defence companies, allowing members to fund military spending indirectly with debt, off national balance sheets.
I, for one, am not tired of all this winning.
A three-judge panel on Wednesday denied a request from the Kennedy Center’s board to restore President Donald Trump’s name to the institution while the board appeals an earlier ruling that dubbed the name change illegal and had it rescinded.
It’s another setback for the board of trustees, of which Trump is chairman, in a saga that began earlier this year when the Kennedy Center became: “The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.”
The conspicuous addition, and ensuing legal battle, became symbolic of Trump’s broader push to imprint his legacy — and, in this case, his actual name — on the nation’s capital in his final term.
The panel of judges wrote Wednesday that the board of trustee’s request "failed to show how they will be irreparably injured” if Trump’s name remains off the building through the appeal process.

WASHINGTON/ANKARA, July 8 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he was leaving Turkey aboard an older Air Force One aircraft rather than a recently renovated Qatari-donated jet, an unexpected switch that renewed scrutiny of the costly, fast-tracked retrofit.
The trip to Turkey, the first international travel for the new plane, took place as hostilities escalated with Iran, a country that borders Turkey.
The switch follows months of scrutiny over the luxury gift intended to serve as a temporary replacement while Boeing struggles to deliver long-delayed next-generation Air Force One planes.
Critics questioned the cost, security and pace of the retrofit.
Trump said on Truth Social that he would use an older Air Force One plane “for old time’s sake” to fly to RAF Mildenhall in Britain while the new plane stops at the same base so U.S. service members stationed there can tour the aircraft.
The convicted felon’s really not doing well with water in Washington.
A fountain restored as part of Donald Trump’s drive to beautify Washington DC has turned a murky shade of brown two months after it was reopened.
The Cascading Fountain in Meridian Hill Park is one of a series of landmarks Mr Trump has highlighted as part of his campaign to make the US capital “safe and beautiful”.
In May, the Trump administration released footage showing clear water flowing through the fountain for the first time in seven years.
When The Telegraph visited the fountain on Wednesday, the water was discoloured and the lower part of the fountain was closed off and being renovated by workmen. A sign described a “planned final phase of restoration activities”.
President Donald Trump on Monday made an outrageous claim about how to spot immigrants likely to cause “trouble” once inside the United States.
And it’s all about how they look.
During his comments in the Rose Garden, Trump attacked President Joe Biden for the migrants who entered the country during his administration.
“They came in through an open border,” Trump said. “They came in through prisons, mental institutions, drug dealers. You have no idea the drug dealers that came in under Biden. Open border. Nobody checked. They just walk in.”
Then he claimed there’s a way to sort good from bad based on looks alone.
“And you could look at some of them, you could say, ‘This is trouble,’” he said. “And they’d walk into our country.”
Since returning to office last year, Trump has stepped up deportations and restricted the number of immigrants allowed into the country. Mother Jones reported last month that for the previous six months, the Trump administration has only accepted white migrants ― and most of them are white South Africans.
Given that track record, critics said Trump’s claim about how to spot “trouble” comes down to one factor: skin color.

I’m prepared to believe that the regime has reached that standard place that autocratic regimes usually reach - where the aging autocrat is surrounded entirely by people who tell them what they want to hear.

No, just plain old “lame” is fine.

I’m guessing that 45/47 wasn’t aware of his host’s geographic neighbors, and that somebody in the security detail with his ear suggested that it wasn’t a 100% certainty that there was no homing/tracking beacon secreted somewhere in the fuselage that the Iranians could access after twisting Qatar’s arm.
