The Trump Impeachment Inquiry

What’s happening in the hearing? I understand the Pubs moved to adjourn as soon as it opened. One of them said there would be some shenanigans today. Like the first day of toddler camp, right? Spiders in the inkwells? Whoopee cushions?

You can’t use another thing as an example of what Trump is or isn’t. He’s uniquely awful.

Also, one can pretty much conclude that what he hides is evidence of his guilt and what he denies is actually the truth.

We’ve had enough witnesses. He did it. It is a spectacularly evil thing to do, to use his office to strongarm a smaller country currently at risk from one of the murderers Trump admires. Eleven people died while Trump held up aid in his quest to smear the Bidens.

If he’s so concerned about the dangers of nepotism, he can start with his three vacuous offspring.

Sorry, this was just released by Wolf Blitzer:

Well, the liar in chief has obviously lied his mind, pardon me- changed his mind since then. Great clip, though!

D’s getting destroyed tonight in the house. This will be yet another one of their miserable failures, trying to get rid of Trump.

That’s funny; we must be watching different speeches. I’ve heard 200 variations on the following themes:

Trump was not afforded due process in the House hearings (not true)
Ukraine got their funds - no harm, no foul (reprehensible)
There was no quid pro quo (not true)
This is a partisan attempt to overturn the 2016 election (not true, and so what?)

In 1972 Nixon won in a landslide – a real landslide, not the fantasy kind in Trump’s head – and Congress had no problems with that in booting his sorry ass to the curb, 2 years later.

This has been yet again another miserable failure of republicans trying to defend their moronic criminal leader.

It will forever blow my mind that there wasn’t a single solitary Republican rep who had the integrity to do the right thing.

On the screen at this moment I see 1 Republican – is that a mistake, or are we getting a surprise vote?

EDIT: It disappeared. Apparently a mistake. There is the 1 independent (and former R) Justin Amash.

I just came here to find out who the traitor Republican is. Romney?
Also, who are the wimps voting “present”?

It was definitely there, then it disappeared. How does that work?

Tulsi Gabbard voted present, according to the TV. How pathetically cowardly!

When this becomes your argument, I’d say you’re on the losing side of the issue. And you’ve decidedly lost the plot. (Reuters)

Pathetic.

NVM. It’s Tulsi Gabbard.

Tulsi Gabbard voted “present” rather than yea or nay. If she wants to be President, she should at least be able to give a yes or no vote on an important issue.

  1. There were no “traitor” Republicans. They all voted against impeachment.

  2. Romney is a Senator, not a Representative, so he didn’t get a vote.

Tulsi Gabbard voted “present” rather than yea or nay.

Thanks-had a little brain fart for a second. I definitely saw a Republican yes there for awhile.

Gabbard is going for the anti-impeachment Democratic primary voter. It’s a gutsy move.

It’s funny, right wingers are so invested in their own version of reality they have to keep gaslighting themselves just to keep it in view.

Well, she at least she made herself a less useful idiot to the Kremlin in 2020.
