I missed the first season of this and the 3 shows prior to the start of Season 2 did not bring me up to speed.
What did the reporter see in the room he was told to go to. Someone was laying on a table screaming.
Has the true motive been established for their visit?

Was the V agent (who had the child) brainwashed to forget?

I think what the audience learns is that the Vs are quietly kidnapping some of their “guests” who won’t be missed, and experimenting on them, however, the exact nature and reasons for this are still unknown to us. I’m not sure whether this is all the reporter learns too, or if he got some additional details/insight.
