Meh, I have to wonder why Anna choose to fill the shuttle corpses intead of living humans. :dubious: It’s not like it would be hard for her to send a bunch of live-aboards on a field trip without arousing suspicion, nor would she hesitate to anyone, human or Visitor (after all where did she get the cadavers from). Making it clear that everyone was already dead seemed like a cop out. Anyone know if V’s be renewed for a 2nd season or cancelled?
The live aboards are presumably valuable for some other purpose, but she would have no problem killing random humans. Or maybe they were live-aboards that didn’t survive testing.
How long can Erica keep the 5th column protected without getting noticed?
Unless she somehow points evidence towards some other terrorists…
I also wondered how they knew just what hard drive to fry when they broke into the security company to erase the toll booth footage. It looked like there were hundreds, if not thousands of similar looking machines in there, and I can’t imagine someone unfamiliar with the system could just walk right in and automatically know where the specific one they’re looking for is located.
Also, where does a civilian procure a stinger missile?
I’m still liking the story, but some of the details just have to be ignored. The rogue FBI agent/5th column cell leader, now guilty of a terrorist conspiracy, just happens to be appointed to head the task force investigating the crime she committed, with a [del]frakkin toaster[/del] V infiltrator as her partner? Yeah. That could happen.
Once again, Ana brings the scaly evil. Really like the acting every time she’s on screen.
Still think Joshua is gonna end up as a pair of boots and a belt eventually.
I liked it. I kind of liked the character of Chad Decker at the beginning but now I want to slap him. Not because he’s playing “double agent” - because he’s playing is so poorly. I honestly don’t care which side he’s on because he speaks so much with his “and that’s the news, folks” voice that I keep hoping he’ll be Ana’s new human-skin purse.
Also - have I missed something? The V are not supposed to feel human emotions but Ana shows joy and anger. She just isn’t warm and fuzzy. Is it that they are just supposed to be cold-blooded (hee)?
I wonder if part of the reason Anna’s being so ruthless to her daughter is to send her a message of “I suspected you failed the Human Emotional Response” test, but when you chose which faux-emotion I was to use at the press conference, as it was ‘more sincere’, it proved that you , failed the H.E.R. test"
Since Anna’s daughter is relatively high-profile, it’d be difficult to just “dust” her, so Anna uses this as an opportunity to go all Domestic Disturbance on her arse
Decker, he’s a slimeball, I don’t think he’s on anybody’s “side” but his own, he needs to become intimately acquainted with the business end of one of the Lizard’s “Spikey-Death-Orb” thingies, he clearly cannot be trusted by either 5C or the Lizards
More importantly, if the one guy had already grabbed the data, why would he go to grab it again? And why go to the physical server farm rather than have the IT guy who manages the server farm email the data?
Also, wouldn’t the FBI know who deleted the files? Yes, she used someone else’s ID, but she was at her computer. Also, someone must have the SD card(s). Plus, why is the old someone is deleting a file while I’m seeing it and now I can’t despite the fact it’s in cache/memory/etc still being used?
I just wish they’d sit Ryan down and say, “Okay, lizard boy, talk. Why are your people here? Have you guys ever invaded another planet? What do you look like under that human suit? Hell, what the heck is your race’s real name, or have you always just referred to yourselves as V?”
Has there been any mention of that huge ass fleet we were shown in one of the early episodes? Seems like it was a cut scene of a planet, maybe the V homeworld, with dozens…maybe hundreds…of V ships in loose formation, apparently about to go somewhere…possibly Earth?
Anyone else find it odd that we really know almost nothing about the V’s motivation? We know they’re evil lizard-y beings with human skins over scaly/tentacle-y things, but not whether they are born that way, or have a natural form. We know they want something…but don’t know what it is. We suspect it’s something nasty, otherwise they’d just ask for whatever it is. We know there’s some sort of schism among the V, but not why, or when. We know they’ve been here for at least 10 years, and have infiltrators in high places…but why?
“We, the valiant human resistance, are indelibly marking ourselves with a big cut right by our ear. Its gonna leave a scar for some time. Anyone who grabs us and looks at our ear can tell we’re part of a terrorist organization. However, your people have a different core temperature than us, which should be able to be easily spotted with a $3000 thermal camera. Oh, and if we somehow knew this we could start marking infiltrators for death, too. Why the hell hasn’t anyone mentioned this?”
Anna and Marcus did discuss the “backup” she sent for, but apparently it won’t arrive for some time hence her need to spawn soldiers. I agree that the slowness of the plot is frustrating. The problem is that the producers want this show to be another Lost and last for years. The original miniseries(es:confused:) only added up to 10 hours of programing and we learned the Vs real plan early on (use Earth’s natural resources & ship humans back home as gourmet food). I fear the show will be cancelled before we get a chance to see how the plotlines pan out.
You’re right about Ryan; everyone should demanding he tell them why the Visitors are here. Even if he’s been out of the loop for years he should still have a basic idea. It’s poor writing. And what about other Resistance/5th Column cells that the pilots implied existed? :dubious: Shouldn’t the gang be trying like mad to get in touch with them? Ryan clearly still knows other 5th Column members.
