The twenty-buck Christmas

Being as I live by myself, have experienced a rather stressful work environment of late, with no family members closer than about 1500 miles, and with no chance to go to their location this year, until now I haven’t exactly been feelin’ the Christmas.

I’m better now, though. Firstly, there were a few snow flurries this week, extremely rare in the Houston area, where I now live. Second, I picked up a small artificial tree, a couple strings of lights and some ornaments on the way home, and just got done setting them up. One string around the front window, one on the tree. I’m rather chuffed at how it all turned out. $22.63 well spent, if you ask me.

I hope you will indulge me as I now express a modest woo hoo.

Woo Hoo!

You deserve more than a modest woo hoo – WOO HOO!

We’ve had a bad week here too and we were thinking about not putting up a tree, but man, there’s something about the lights on a Christmas tree that makes the woo hoo pop right out.

Good on ya, I say!

So take pics and post em

Good for you, El Kabong! That’s definitely worth more than a woo hoo! It shows remarkable resilience and augurs well for the years to come. Well done indeed.

Just another shining example of “fake it till you make it.”

If only I could manage a twenty-buck Christmas.

WOO-HOO!Squared

There’s something about lights and a tree that really cheers things up at this dark time of year. Have a good Christmas!
