I love you, my heart, and I am sending prayers and best thoughts and wishes that you find a job that blows the rest of the jobs you have had out of the water!
You already have a love that transcends almost all of us, so a marvelous job is the only thing you lack, or so it seems to me.
Cheri-darling, thank you so much for you kind words and well wishes. Though, between you and me, a marvelous job and a winning lottery ticket would go a lot further.
Alright, so I’m coming into this thread a little late to wish LH good luck, but I wanted to at least say that I hope the interview went smashingly. Who wouldn’t find Lindy absolutely charming?
I’m coming in late to this thread, as well. But I certainly hope that LindyHopper’s interview went swimmingly. He should charm them right out of their socks.
You want me to pick you up? I’ll let you know that you’re probably well over my weight limit for picking things up! More seriously though…
TruePisces, it sucks that you lost your job. I’m not sure that you know me that well. (one or two posts in one of your threads on the Unaboard does not mean anything in terms of knowing someone, after all) But it doesn’t matter to me… I hope you find some sunshine in your life soon, and that things will get better.
Speaking of corny pick-up lines, here’s something my sister heard from one of her friends:
Here’s another one that I heard some time ago from Spoz (he was telling me about some friends of his in a bar):
(no, I haven’t a clue whether either of those two lines actually worked)
Hope that made you smile… and check out the first link in my sig for more laughs. (or maybe it’s just me who finds it funny…) Heck, you can go to the other link in my sig, but mine isn’t as funny as the other one is.
But if you really want a smile, check out The Bonehead of the Day Award, or TechTales. Those sites are usually good to cheer me up when I need a humor lift! Hope things get better soon!
I trust that you WILL get called-back, love. You know this job inside and out. And they’d be a fool to not hire you. And if they don’t, I’ll come to Montana and kick some butt. I’ve got the free time now.
Flami, I may not know you that well, but that doesn’t matter. Thank you for the well wishes, regardless. And the pick-up lines. It amazes me that those lines actually WORK sometimes. shakes head, laughing
LindyHopper< I was sort of talking to TruePisces when I mentioned the weight limit thing… but hey! Apply it to yourself, I don’t care. I wish you only the best of luck in the call-backs.
TruePisces, if there’s anything else I can do for uou, just let me know. Meanwhile, I want to state for the record that it’s not a problem wishing people good things. Helful, compassionate, and loving: that’s me! (or at least for now)
Now, it’s time for me to go to Awana… seeing those kids is one of ultimate “pick-me-ups” for me!
