This may be a dumb question, but what exactly are Luther’s powers?
I know he was injected with the gorilla blood or whatever, but what were his powers before that?
He had super strength.
Oh he had super strength even before turning into monkey man? Did they establish that at all and I just forgot?
As a child, he threw a bank robber through a window In the upper reaches of the bank lobby, launchinghim in a huge arc across the plaza in front of the building. So he definitely had super strength.
I suspect his strength might vary with his confidence level.
The Wikipedia article on the comics says he can also survive in the vacuum of space with just a helmet (and oxygen). I think we saw him using pretty primitive space gear in S1E1 …
In a related question does Klaus have any power besides talking to the dead? It’s a pretty good power to have but doesn’t seem very useful for a typical battle with some bank robbers.
In the comics, he has telekinesis.
We saw that he can get the dead to work for him in the alt-1963. I don’t remember him actually doing anything in the bank robbery scene.
If I recall correctly, all he did was to talk Ben into entering the vault.
Ben’s behavior before and after is what makes me think that he eventually committed suicide. He seemed shell shocked by the violence of his power. And he was reluctant even to use it.
I think he has the ability to make the dead corporeal so they can do things for him. When Ben typed on the typewriter he needed Klaus to be able to do that. When dead cowboys caught Klaus it was because of his ability, they couldn’t go around catching people or anything else on their own. I’m not sure where I picked up that info though.
Remember the scene in the theatre as well - he managed to “manifest” Ben who was then able to tentaculize the people they were fighting.
I understood that to be the power Dead Reg said he was wasting, disappointing him.
You KNOW that’s the case; based on the level of technology that Sir Reginald seems to command, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if he’d come up with a human clone that looks like him that underwent the autopsy.
Didn’t Klaus literally meet him in the afterlife? Don’t know how alien tech can explain that away but I’m open to suggestions.
I’m guessing that he’s either fully aware of how Klaus’s gift works, or maybe that’s a far-future dead Sir Reginald talking to him, and present-day Sir Reg is still alive.
Or it could be some sort of weird timeline nonsense where he’s alive in one, dead in another, etc…
I think he’s definitely dead in the original timeline (with a faked autopsy). Now he’s alive in the new timeline.
And Ben was able to ‘levitate’ Klaus for the cult to see.
Now what about Ben ‘inhabiting’ Klaus’ body? Is that a Klaus ability or something Ben can do?
I think that was Klaus; without his ability to connect with and communicate with the dead, it doesn’t happen.
But didn’t Ben enter Vanya’s body when she was being tortured?
