even big kitties are “l’il” but I will say Cuervo grew very quickly, didn’t he?
Iams dry Kitten Food in the purple bag… It’s all he’ll eat, he doesn’t even like the can stuff.
Now and then he licks the inside of the Friskies can the big kids get, but that’s all.
ACBG and I are going to eat Mexican after work tonight then I’m going to a Maundy Thursday service. Perhaps I shouldn’t eat beans and rice before, but I do like to live dangerously. I’m a Lector (not the cannibal kind) tonight, so it could get interesting.
Oh, yeah. Happy Maundy Thursday, everyone! Driving Husband and Quasi-Daughter are going to the marvellous service at Smokey Tom’s (St. Thomas Anglican, very high church. Clouds of incense) tonight, but I’m working. Drat. I’m going to miss all the services except for Easter.
And tomorrow is a fast day, which should be fun.
But, in three das I can eat out again. And swampy can start eating beef. Whee!
Depends on where the microphone is, I’d say.
My mom is on her way to the Factfortress - she’s driving down from Pittsburgh. She should be somewhere south and slightly east of Richmond by now. She was down in October to drop off her cats ('cause where she moved to doesn’t allow pets), and will be surprised to learn that the one that was 8 pounds then is 14 pounds now. And we didn’t do anything different! Seems that she (the cat) just gained weight after retiring to the South.
And, of course, instead of rushing home to greet her, I must detour to Wally World and pick up, let me check my hastily scribbled note, an 6-chair, 1-table outdoor furniture set called “aza Crk Bttr H&G” and the price.
What the hell am I buying? Anyone, Bueller?
Rosie sorry about your prom. I ended up with two girls at the end of the night but, true to form, no nookie from either of them. So I’m in the “Why did I even bother” camp too. Dorothy do things look better now than they did earlier?
It’s over 80 degrees F outside, and I’m drinking coffee!!! And listening to the Beatles sing in German Come give my dime a hug
My dad did that, too.
It’s the fried chicken. And catfish. And cornbread. And sweet tea. And pecan pie. And biscuits and gravy. And it’s hot so we drink a lot more beer. Sean have you noticed that you buy beer more often since the yankee cat moved in?
I got it.
… No wait, I lost it.
(it’s in blue because you can’t italicize italics)
I assume that’s the literal German-to-English translation. What song is it really?
it rolled over there, under the couch. Quick! Grab it before the cat does.
Wait, wait, let me guess! I’m guessing it’s Komm gib mir deine Hand (I Want to Hold Your Hand).
Spats we all gotta lose it sometime or another. I’m sleepy. And hungry. And bored. It’ll be time to go eat soon, cause we’re eating early, so there is that. It’s also really warm outside. I’m thinking of having a margarita. I probably shouldn’t, but it’d be sooooo good. I’m rambling aren’t I?
We have a winner.
And since I got this house, which was just a coupla-three weeks before the cats (the other one hasn’t doubled in size) I’ve been drinking less beer (and other things). Mostly because we live in Hooterville, and there isn’t any good bars that close.
Hang on there - I believe you may be mistaken. My MIL, the world’s bestest pie baker, has given me recipes for both buttermilk pie and custard pie. They are both yummy but completely different. The buttermilk pie is so rich, it makes your teeth curl - me likee!!
Well, I’m done work for the week. I got rid of the trash and recycling, and I got a table and two chairs for free from a woman at work who wanted to get rid of them. My kid is getting the chairs and I’m keeping the table for my future pottery studio. Yay. For now, tho, they’re sitting in the garage.
The rest of my day will consist of some cleaning, lots of packing, loading the van, baking some muffins for the road and the kid, gathering some foods for my baby (sketty sauce, shrimps, poke chops at least) and generally getting ready for my trip. I plan to leave the house around 8 tomorrow, which should get me to the place in Richmond around 10, when FCD hopes to be done. Then we head south, and if all goes well, we’ll get to Orlando before midnight.
I’ve also got to rustle up something for supper tonight, but I don’t know what I want. Decisions, decisions.
Oh, so anyway, after maybe an early post tomorrow, I probably won’t be back till Tuesday. Has someone volunteered for the next MMP?
That’s all for now. I may think of something later. Or not. Who knows - I’m a woman of mystery!!
Last weekend, which was this week because it was on Sunday, I had to dig out the ol’ lawnmower and my it go so I could commence mowing the lawn. This vexed me. It vexed me doubly when the mower didn’t want to mow. After I took it some apart and whacked it with a screwdriver randomly, it finally started. But it was a near thing.
So today I went out and bought me a brand new lawnmower. It mulches, it’s self-propelled and it’s red. Other than that, it’s just a stoopit lawnmower. I’m not even going to give it a name or nothing. Right now it’s still in its box. I can’t wait to use it.
If my Plan doesn’t change tomorrow I plan on going to the hardware store (a different one from which I bought the lawnmower) and buy a new grill. I’m somewhat more excited about these prospects.
I might even go to the Army surplus store. We’ll see.
Two hardware stores and the Army surplus store. That’s some sort of trifecta, innit?
Sean, the best I can do with that item is that it involves Better Homes & Gardens somehow.
:: grabs for it, misses ::
:: glares at cat :: Stoopit cat. Hey! We need an official MMP Cat. I nominate Cuervo.
It just hailed big hailstones everywhere. I just know as soon as I step outside it’s going to hail again.
I should leave for work.
That will be the signal for more hail.
Maybe I should buy an umbrella.
On the other hand, I ate a bacon sandwich on homemade garlic focaccia about ten minutes ago. All things considered, the goodness of a bacon sandwich makes up for the badness of hail. And the hail did look really cool.
Also, Mr. Lissar got the wedding pics up. Here’s both my MILs, here’s the bride and groom,Mr. Lissar and his dad Mr. Lissar and his mum. I don’t know why his hair is doing that.. All the men look really really similar. It’s funny.
