The Unexpected MMP

He graciously accepts. And drinks to the health and happiness of all MMP’ers .

Swampy, he offers you this for your margarita. Have at it.

Thanks, scout, and you’re right. It’s the Azalea Garden suite from Better Homes & Gardens’ Ooutdoor Lliving collection (or something like that.)

And I was going to pop in and say have a good weekend, but today is only Thursday. The GF and I (just got off the phone with her. “I told you only a couple of hours ago what you had to pick up. Didn’t you write it down?”) both have kept thinking all day that it is Friday.

So everyone, have a good Thursday night.

Call ME for all your list deciphering needs.

It’s technically my Friday, because I have tomorrow off. BSMF’s family is coming to town, so it will be a family fiesta this weekend. We’ll see how that goes…

Happy 2nd Sedar
Happy Holy Thursday (is that appropriate? if not, I apologize)
Happy (end of0 First Day Of Spring Break

I’m on my way to PT (which I’d really like to skip (whinewhinewhine) but I won’t) then rehearsal. I’ll probably sign on when I get home, much much much later tonight.

I just had a :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: :smack: moment of very humongous magnitude. I feel so stupid!

I put out a twice daily report. I use one sheet to refresh the data from another worksheet. Then open up yet another spreadsheet and update it from the refreshed sheet. I copy the updated sheet to another workbook, title the tab, name it, and put it on a shared drive for publication.

Today, a particular clinic that hadn’t been showing up was added to the big report my refresh sheet refreshes from. The clinic showed up just fine on that sheet. However, when I went to update the pub sheet, the name of the clinic kept showing up as a value error. I was tracing, auditing, doing everything to find out what was wrong. I was looking back at old sheets to see if something had become corrupted. I spent four friggin’ hours on this damn thing, and, in the meantime I had to publish the afternoon report too.

FINALLY… finally I noticed (-14) toward the end of the formula for pulling in the department name. When I publish the report it doesn’t same “Department of Medicine” under Department, it says “Medicine”. I stared at that (-14). I stared harder. Then I started counting on my fingers D-E-P-A-R-T-M-E-N-T SPACE O-F.

ARRRRRRGGH! That equals 14! I feel so idiotic and pissed that I pissed away nearly four hours on the simplest thing. It was staring me in the face the whole damn time!

To be honest, some of these formulas are REALLY long and I can sorta see how I’d miss that, but geeze it was such a simple thing.

:smack: :smack: :smack: :smack:

Ouch, Taters. That really is a :smack: moment. At least you did figure it out though.

Would Cuervo like a girlfriend?

Wow, I’m pretty sure this MMP is on page YB. Just spent an hour catching up! Got home from work just in time to leave again to go to church. I always like it when Holy Thursday falls during Passover; the first reading tonight was the story of Passover which always makes me think about how long Passover has been celebrated.

Thanks for starting that kitty pics thread, Mr Bus Guy! Your link to it is why it took me so long to get through the MMP. :dubious: Cuervo sure is big now!

There was more, but it’s way past my bedtime and I can’t remember anymore…

Hi everyone!

GT

anyrose, that is a jaw-droppingly gorgeous cat. I’m jealous. Or I would be, if my cats wouldn’t get offended and huffy. Wow.

Back from work. Time to shred some crockpotted chicken breasts, make sandwiches to freeze, and wash dishes. And loaf around. Happy Maundy Thusday and almost Good Friday! And Happy Passover! And Happy Feast of Maximum Occupancy!

Smokey says thank you (or rather “m’owuw” which I interpreted as ‘thank you’) =^.^=

Yes, that is a jaw-droppingly gorgeous cat. A jaw-droppingly gorgeous cat who apparently likes sitting on luggage.

she’ll sit anywhere. it’s her house, she lets me live here.

Okay, fair enough. I mean, with a cat that actually reminds me of the goddess Isis*, how could it be any other way?

*Isis and I go way back.

to be fair, she has her bad mood days, too. (usually when I point the camera at her)

Well heck. I’d look grumpy too if there were a camera three inches off my nose.

WHY AM I STILL AWAKE??? It’s 2 oh freakin clock in the morning and I have to work today!!!

I don’t think we’re supposed to associate Maundy Thursday and Good Friday with “happy” but I get all confuzzled over this stuff, so I’m jake with it either way. gt I was first Lector (not the cannibal kind) last night. That means I got to read the first lesson and it was the story of Passover. I really like reading that.

HAPPY PASSOVER to all the Jewish MMPers and other Dopers who happen to wander by.

FCM I agree, buttermilk pie is much richer, creamier and nummier than custard pie, but a lot of folks tell me they think they’re the same thing. Thing is I asssociate custard pie with coconut, cause I grew up eating coconut custard pie. That’s what mom always made for custard pie. That pie is also very rich, but not as creamy as buttermilk pie.

Rue if it’s any consolation to ya, I’ve had to mow three times already and really should mow this evening or tomorrow so my yard will look all spiffy for Easter. Not that I’m trying to impress anybody, but I do have several people coming for lunch on Sunday. It’s been so long since I’ve eaten any meat, I may go all Henry VIII on the ham.

I saw Bobbio’s twin brother this morning! This man looks just like our Bobbio. Wonder why he never mentioned how he’s actually twins who were separated at birth?

Good morning, all. I’ve been up about an hour and a half, and I’m pretty much ready to hit the road. Bernie knows something is going on, and even the cat is giving me the hairy eyeball.

Ready to feel pooped? After I showered and trimmed my toenails (woo!!) I finished packing my toiletries, took the dog out to pee and poo, grabbed the eggcrate mattress pad we’d used on the boat (in case FCD wants to lie down in the back of the van), cleaned the litter box (it’s gonna be nasty come Monday), packed lunch plus some food for my kid, got black grease on my jeans from the stupid trailer ball, hooked the trailer to the van and pulled it out of the garage, emptied the dehumidifier, put some pillows and the dog’s afghan in the van, filled the water jug for the cat, talked to FCD on the phone, hung out clean towels for when we get home, and now I’m having a diet coke and surfing till it’s time to go. I wish I could leave a window opened a little while I’m gone, but it’s going to get too chilly a couple of nights.

The cat is purring like crazy and rubbing all over me - does she actually want to go?? I doubt it, and 14 hours of a cat crying is way too much for me. So she can stay home and feel abandoned for a few days, She’ll deal.

Anyway, all that’s left is for me to grab an old sheet, then load the dog and hit the road. It’ll take a couple of hours to get to the school in Richmond, then we’ll get back to I95 south and see how far we get. I suspect we’ll stop in Jawja for the night. Too bad you live so far from I95, swampy, I’d let you take me to dinner again!

So I’ll see ya’ll in next week’s MMP, possibly Monday night, but probably not till Tuesday. Don’t cry! I’ll be back! I promise!! (unless I hit a big lotto jackpot, in which case I’ll be obligated to find a wealthier group of friends… )
Do you feeeeeeeeel the luuuuuuurve??

AFAIK, my twin is my sister, who IRL is 14 months younger than I am. We look nearly the same, 'cept she has more hair and her moustache is thicker…

anyrose, Cuervo had a girlfriend before he got fixed, but that’s a much prettier cat than the old stiffed one. He was cleaning himself extra good when I left the house this morning, so I think we have a date.

Oh man, oh man did we have some storms here last night! The three of us joined friends at a sports bar a couple towns over for dinner and revelrie. We saw the radar on the news and Bus Kid and I had an “oh crap” moment when we saw the big line of red headed for our house as we mentally counted all the windows we left open.

So when we walked in the house at 12, with weather still pretty active, first thing was finding all the wet stuff, drying it off and closing windows. The rest of the night, until about 3 am was spent watching lightning through the skylight.

No school here today, which means it’s QUIET!!!

Just going to catch up on paperwork today, make my last P/T session with Cute Little Laura, then grab the Kid later, have dinner at Chipotle then grocery shop for Sunday dinner.

Ooops. Got to run to see Laura now.
