It usually isn’t. He’s got a lot of wrinkles, little pockmarks, and “orange peel” texture.
Since you mention it, I’ve pondered why he looks more decrepit some times than others. I tend to think the wrinkly, bumpy, saggy photos are more true to life, but maybe it depends who’s publishing the pic/ hosting the video. Also, there’s more make-up tricks than we can imagine these days. Obviously the SOTU is critical, so perhaps they pulled out all the stops. They sell instant face lift tape on Temu (don’t ask me how I know).
